Seems you to me you were a victim of Scareware. Whether the virus you got was caused by ASPC is debatable, although the timing is impeccable. Are you sure you didn't do anything out of the ordinary or careless just before it happened? Anyway, it does sound fishy, in any case as others have mentioned elsewhere... Another question that comes to mind is if you actually have any antivirus app installed. I suggest you report the whole situation to the Better Business Bureau.
After getting the same issues over again, I would've tried another app to find out if the issues in question were detected by it as well (kind of similar to asking another doctor for a second opinion for a diagnosis). If things would detect by the other program, then I'd be worried. The other way to go about it would have been uninstalling ASPC, which I'll definitely do once my license period expires.
As to being a geek, I'm glad to hear you don't think it's a bad thing ... ;D

ADVANCE SYSTEM PRO CARE is made by Iobit and is actually a reputable company (About Iobit) and the app is highly rated and popular @ Cnet (ASC Review (Review of the Free Version of the App). I actually ASPC for free in a givewaway not long ago and can say the app works as advertised. Plus, by itself doesn't can't a virus or malware (DotTech said an older version of the program appeared to be clean.

CLEVERBRIDGE (http://www.cleverbridge.com/corporate/company/about) seems to be a company that processes payments for software companies.
Basically, you weren't dealing with one single company but several of them. So what software caused your and what exactly happened to make you think there was a virus or malware?
Based on what I see, I suspect if anything the Systweak software is the culprit (not because they're Indian, but rather because their software looks and sounds somewhat less professional than Iobit's). That is unless Cleverbridge actually delivers the program to install as well and takes the liberty of adding on opt-in software (crapware!) that most users probably would end up installing if they're careless during installation by just pressing "Next" (or whatever the right-hand most button is during each dialog prompt) without reading.

RMN v4.5 (and beyond) Feature Idea List
I don't know if anybody has suggested this, but it would be nice to have a RMN app to facilitate things, especially from smartphones. Probably the order of platforms it would be developed for should come from a poll, to see what devices people would be most likely to use for accessing the content.

So, I see English's not you first language. Thus, I would suggest you get somebody whose a native speaker or who has actually studied in a school where that's the main language of instruction to help you check your spelling and grammar. Even doing a check using Word should help improve it a lot.

Welcome to RMN, fellow former lurker! Better late than never, I say ... Consider your AHE entry your coming out party, as ugly as you consider it (Damn Formar and his YT videos!). Anyway, there's only one way to go but up ... Especially seeing that you must have some sort of Midas touch turning people's crap into stuff that's useful. Don't worry, Marrend! It's not as if anything is @ stake. Plus, yours will be quite different from mine, so there's plenty of space for everybody ... That said, I kind of liked the sound of "prove" which is why I chose it today.
