Snuck into the Top 40 all-time posts! Slowly climbing the Makerscore ranks and still tied with Gourd and Deacon for Reviews ...
RM games translations
The question is whether you feel comfortable with whomever the translator is. You wouldn't want important things to be lost in translation ... Unless you know the other language, you're kind of @ the mercy of the translator interpretation of whatever text is written, once you've given them permission to do so.
I have noticed that translators movies and TV shows in English do an awful job of subtitling them, especially when comedy is involved.

Game Length: Is it possible to make your game too long?

I know, unheard of for LockeZ to not have an opinion on something! LockeZ overanalyzes the pacing of Chrono Trigger's gameplay with such a ridiculous amount of detail that he has to use a hide tag:
I love it when people talk about themselves in third person (edchuy thinks you're a weird one, LZ!). I got that temptation of my system ... ;P

Not entirely luck per se - more like a minimum effort application. I went to a 24 hour programming competition that the bank was hosting, was offered a place at an assessment centre at the end of it (so by-passed the online testing and first round interview stages), breezed through that assessment centre (which was barely technical) and now I've got a place after I graduate.
I never actually intended to apply, so this is still a bit of a shock! Only problem now is I'm going to have to relocate to either the south of England....or Glasgow, Scotland. Decisions, decisions...
Based on that, inadvertent isn't quite the right term to explain your outcome. Unexpected or surprising is more like it. Anyway, congrats on securing a job before graduating. Seems you have a major decision on your hands regarding your new neck of the woods. Either choice sounds sexy, though ...

I've inadvertently landed a graduate job at a leading investment bank, so I guess I'm going to hell. Oh well. I'll least I'll be headed there with loads of 'fat stacks'...
Accidental dumb luck?? Enjoy it while you can!
Game Length: Is it possible to make your game too long?
Long games aren't for everyone ... most people nowadays (I'm don't consider myself among them) want instant gratification. Must be the ADD in action or people just seem to busy to want to get engaged in such a lengthy game!

I hate these mice that skulk around my apartment. They've got a tunnel from the basement into my closet and I don't want to get my swords bloody with rat guts.
This wouldn't be a problem if my roommates would just keep the kitchen clean like I ask them to but NOOOOOO.
Seems to me you need to get rid of your roomates and you'll take care of the mice in the process ... ;P
And what kind of swords are you talking about? Have you never seen those sticky mice traps? They work pretty well, unless the caught mouse leaves a limb or tail behind, plus the caught mouse tend to drag them around until they die. Plus if you don't check them often enough the caught mice might rot and create a stench.
I'm new here. Help me?
Patience is a virtue ... Welcome to RMN! You'll have to wait for Deckiller to check your game (first come, first serve). Depending on how long the queue is and how busy he is, it might take a few days for him to get to your game. If there's an issue with your submission, he'll PM you telling what you need to fix to get your game accepted. I'd say give him @ least 10 days from the time you made your submission. Then you can consider PMing him to ask the status of your submission.
In the meantime, if you don't want your friends to wait for the submission to be accepted, you should make it available to them via Dropbox or something similar. And no, you didn't do anything wrong.
