Is this kind of game possible?

I'm going isometric in my current WIP with python/pygame. Since you're not new at programming, you might want to go with a high power language where you can have your game do anything you want it to.

Re: ignoring ramblings...
Always good advice :P

But no, I don't think it was me.

Heh, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

To make your own character:
1. Create the tachie -- you'll need a graphics program
2. Create the profile in the Character Customizer -- mostly self-explanatory
3. Optionally write story events -- the game's scripting language is needed for this

Everything ought to be explained in the help file included with the game.

Odd. Could any of the newer content be affecting things? (for instance, story events with stat decreases that might throw off your stat check conditions) I can't check things out until April or May unfortunately. Do bother me again then if things still seem wrong.

I think the flow of new people discovering the game and announcing their own content in progress has been more or less steady ever since the beginning. But it has been awhile since anyone has posted a complete one! Do we need to hold a contest to motivate y'all? :P (no, not serious about that)

Glitch in the ending

I think the version you played showed it correctly.
Spoiler:
Normally Tyalinne dies near the end as you know, but if the player gets through Story Mode without any deaths (which I doubt anyone has done), during the cliff scene Brian is a little more uncertain whether or not she survived. Then after the final scene she is shown to have survived. A faulty switch is causing her to be shown in the final scene even when the player doesn't play a perfect game, which is inconsistent with Brian reporting her death shortly before.

The variation where she survives was something I added at the last moment as a player reward. The ending where she doesn't survive is the more poignant one, I think, and is the one players were supposed to see first.

Finished content

I've re-uploaded correct versions of 21 Ways and Yuu Lambaria (Yuu's story file had a couple errors, and both Yuu and 21 needed directory restructuring). Have not played through these all the way so cannot vouch for how complete they are!

@Marrend
Thanks for updating the FAQ. I think you linked to step4.png twice though.

@Dozen
Nah, I think my expectations were high in some ways and low in others.

I don't remember what I suggested before. But a FAQ about installing content, complete with helpful screenshots, might be a good idea, huh.

Musings...
If I were to do this game all over again, I would arrange the directory structure to be organized by character (or content name) first and content type second, rather than the other way around. I thought people would sometimes be publishing content consisting of, say, a single story file that add new events for an existing character. But it turns out that everyone is making an original character with every content type included (which is great!). Knowing this, the latter approach would have been better. Maybe the latter approach would have been better in either case. I'll keep this in mind for my next project.

For whatever my opinion is worth, I hardly care whether an author follows Japanese name order strictly ^^; More important that the story/characters is interesting.
