Content creation (artistic, 1st archive)

It didn't make any sense to me :P
But, speaking for myself, I rather like to be underestimated :)

Content creation (artistic, 1st archive)

There are tutorials you can find out there for how to make manga-style CGs so that you get clean line art, properly colored layers, etc. I've been trying to learn it, too, but I think I need to invest in a tablet.

From my perspective, addictiveness in a game is a virtual virtue, but a virtue nonetheless :)
I appreciate the comments!

A Hint of a Tint

If you're in Story Mode you should get the tutorial for it the first time you take damage (and you can review the tutorial by bringing up the main menu). If you're in Survival Mode you can access any tutorial from the start..

Anyway, begin resting by skipping several turns in succession.

Answer:
Only in Survival Mode, and only in a joke kind of way.
Glad you're enjoying it.

Well, it's still an error message you shouldn't have to see. Something like "Error: corrupted records file" would be a bit more friendly. But it's good to know that v2.3 is essentially stable after all!

(out of curiosity, had you figured out how to flag story events as seen?)

Oh, did those fixes for Yuu not work? Anyway, sounds good.

Testing

Glad we got that sorted!

I imagine that installation issues are probably more common than we know due to the lack of an established convention for how custom content is packaged. Well, there is a convention, and I tried to encourage its usage in Mr. Help, but authors don't always follow it. Maybe that's my fault for doing the directory structure the way I did.

Dozen, do you think adding specific installation directions on the Finished Content page for each content package might be worth doing? I have realized that simply saying, "Files need to be in the proper directories" is not enough. An author may have indicated that a file needs to be in a specific subdirectory and there's no way for the user to know that off the bat.

Marrend, when I'm able to work on the game again I'll look into those bugs you unearthed while you were troubleshooting here. Please remind me if I forget.

Testing

There are bugs in v2.3, but I'm not certain they are related to the problem you are having, Enderstar. I mean, there has to be an explanation for why two people can install content for the same version of the game and one has it work and the other doesn't. (Anyway, there were bugs in v2.0, too; v2.3 fixed some of them)

I did do as Dozen said I put each one in one at a time Junko's worked then adding Masako failed.

Iirc the install procedure is actually different for Junko than it is for Masako. For Masako you can just extract to the game's main directory and everything should go in the right place (Masako's author, Marrend, arranged things in a nice way that makes it easy on the end user). For Junko, Yuu, and 21 Ways iirc you need to move files around a bit.

Perhaps Dozen would be willing to upload a zip of the game which includes all content pre-packaged with all files in the proper places and ready to go, including fixes applied for content that needs fixes. In fact, I wouldn't object to such a link being added to the Finished Content page.

Yes, that seems to be happening from time to time now. The good news is it should be a temporary problem. Whenever you see that page, just try again in a few hours. The bad news is that this means that traffic to the website is reaching limits set by my free provider. Doubtless, most of it spam. (That fix I enabled for the comments page protects spam comments from succeeding, but that doesn't mean bandwidth isn't used up every time they try) I don't think there's anything I can do other than 1. pay for more bandwidth or 2. disable comments, and neither option I like.
