I finished watching SAO season 2 recently. Then I talked about it with somebody who read the light novels and apparently the story is basically off the rails at this point. At least compared to the light novels. He knew nothing about the Mother's Rosario arc at the end of the season, but Wikipedia has that as the title on a manga adaptation arc so I wonder how much the story has been changed and whether the anime is following the light novels or the manga.

Long story short, maybe the Sword Art Online light novels are what you really wanted that story to be. There's apparently quite a lot of the more political story in those novels that was skipped over in the anime in favor of the harem-building episodes.

It's a real shame about FE Radiant Dawn. They really fixed the Laguz units that were pretty much worthless in Path of Radiance but magic got weirder and especially in the middle it's like a new roster of new characters every single map. The combat in Fire Emblem is not interesting enough for that kind of "here's your units, deal with this difficult situation" gameplay to stand on its own. Especially since you don't want to let anybody die. I want to play my favorites only, please!

I also like to listen to the soundtrack while playing King Arthur's Gold, a 2d platforming online capture-the-flag game where you play as one of three classes like the old Lost Vikings puzzler and build up your base like Minecraft. I would really like to play it with somebody I know sometime.

Thanks for the welcome! You should all know that I am strange and wrong and don't know how to be nice and social without making an ass of myself. But then my topic title probably told you that. I promise I'm nice! But sometimes a bit of a know-it-all. And also really self-deprecating right now. I'll shut up now.

...you probably don't know who I am. But if you do I'd love to wax nostalgic about the RPG Maker scene about ten years ago, when I was a highly active member of LRPGM and then RPG Palace. Two relatively small communities that you've probably never heard of. I've also been on RMXP.net/RMXP.org/HBGames.org for the longest time.

My skills are mainly in scripting. My best known creations are a Mode 7 script and the Map Image Maker (saves images of your entire maps with events+panorama+fog support) for RMXP.

I'd like to be more active in the RPG making community again, mainly because I've realized this is where I've done the most socializing in my life. So I hope we can be friends! Please tell me you'll be my friend!
