I thought that title was a smear on my screen or something xD Looks interesting!

HailMarx.png

It is 3700x3700 pixels of pure marxism fistbump.

MVLYPICS GAMMAK EVENT

Anyone want to help test my game? >> http://rpgmaker.net/games/8316/
I'm mainly looking for suggestions in battle balancing and such, as well as possible game-breaking bugs. I have confidence in my grammar and spelling, though, so no need to check those.
There are multiple strategies for winning the game, some easier than others, but all viable, at least up till the quarterfinals (I was only able to test about that far today... so far, it's possible to win on everyone up till there.). Find your own, no need to test all of them.

PM me if you're willing and I'll list you as a tester.

Cafe Closedown Review

Yeah, but it's still kind of disappointing xD
Especially since the cafe closing down is kind of rubbed in your face in some parts (again, as I said, the OP culinary skills) which is rather uncomfortable.

Why would you make a boss minigame??? Well, you'll just have to slot it in one category. ^.^

Let's just say that the minigame is in the mechanics xD

The MVLYMPICS!

Liberty-- If we have a boss battle as the main focus of a minigame... which is it?

The MVLYMPICS!

I signed up but am not on this list and am not on a team :(

Can you stick me somewhere, please? xD

Sweet Tooth

This reply is long, so I'll spoiler it.

Any hints on how to get the other endings? I'm
guessing it's just choosing the different dialogue options for William to get his 2 other endings? Not so sure.

Currently, there are only 4 endings (though the ending screen has the "full list"), with some other bonus content for Kyle (but no endings other than that one). The endings are decided by the points you accumulate (so avoid the person whose route you're on to get his "bad" ending). It's not so much of dialogue options rather than simply having less points. Some of the "bad" endings are only accessible if you go into debt.

* My name is Benjamin, and they prompted me to enter my name, even though I didn‘t know my gender, so I'm Benjamin the girl, and my pastry
shop is named Pastry Shop.

xD Yeah, maybe I should've made it more clear, but then it wouldn't allow for situations like this.

* The backgrounds are what I think are real pictures but put through some kind of paint filter.
* The little characters are cutely drawn.

You're absolutely right, and thanks ^_^

* You replay the same section again a few times. It would've been nice to have a "skip text you've already read" button. I haven‘t played many
VNs, but I remember seeing it in April Was a Fool and it was really useful and cut down wasted time rehashing old routes.

Maybe I should've made this clear as well, but there are certain controls that are universal on Ren'Py games:
Hold CTRL to skip already read text
Press pageup (or scroll mouse wheel up) to "roll back" dialogue and choices (you can even change your choices this way)
Right click or ESC to access the menu
Press S to take a screenshot
V (or ctrl+v?) to enable voice assisted mode for blind/near-blind people
... and I think there's more but those are the main ones that I'm aware of.
Oh, and you can navigate the entire game through the arrow keys and your keyboard, as well.

* It would've been nice if they told you how to save. I'm not that accustomed to VNs so I didn't think I could just press Esc during text (you can't in
RPG Maker) but now I can see why it's a little bit obvious.

If you look really closely at the bottom-right corner, it says "Right click to access the menu" and on the menu screen, it says "Right click to dismiss". Maybe I should make the font bigger xD

* It's not very apparent what each of your actions do, and even when you have the chance to purchase something. like food from other shops.
the game doesn't show you your balance, which I would assume is a rote design decision.

If you don't have enough money to buy something, the choice to buy it will not appear on the screen. And if you have enough money to buy something on the later days, your profit is probably greater than your expenditures per day anyway.

* There's Hype, Intel, Quality and Service, and I‘m not sure yet how each activity affects. I know you gain money from serving at the store front. I
wonder how you get hype?

Money gained on a given day is calculated by a formula that is (simplified):
(a*quality + b*service)*hype
where a and b are constants and where a > b. Intel does not increase profits. Hype is pretty much temporary (reset to 1 at the end of each day), and can be gained by maximizing either quality, service, or on the journalist route (which doesn't currently exist).
