NEMESIS25'S PROFILE

I do freelance job for translation/localization in Japan. But now, I would only like to work on game localization. Because, it's fun!

Whenever I find great free games that are made by Japanese developers, I will try to localize them to English so that people around the world can also enjoy it. The games are er... my choice and will only work on short games, since I will be doing this as a volunteer.

I would like to give great indie Japanese developers more exposure by having the game in English. :)

Desperate Love Feast Review

Wow, what a through review you gave us! It's really nice, thank you very much for spending time on this.

Yes, I agree with you on the misspellings, I and testers really didn't notice it while we test out the game. 100% my fault. I could correct them and update again.

For the dots ..., I don't know why, but most of the Japanese developers love to put way too many dots in the text. I agree with you, it was rather irritating to me too, but that's how developer had it so I left it as is.

I am working on the next series and removing unnessesary dots and making sure this time to proofread carefully.

I really thank you for your great outputs, this is really nice.

Oh, I am going to add that there is no combat in this game to the description, thank you again.

I finished playing the game and I loved it! It wasn't too hard and that's why I liked it. It's really annoying when I want to play a game and find out that it's too hard to pass a certain scene because you have no ideea what to do or it's almost impossible without help ( in Desperate Love Feast everything was perfect). There were some creepy scenes that scared me :D and sad moments that almost made me cry. There were also some questions in my head because I didn't understand a few things.
The whole thing that happened was it a dream or real? Did Chihiro have the power to create such a world? Why was Chihiro born like that/ ( his eye)? Was he a demon? and stuff like that. I had so many questions after I finished the game.
I have to say that everything seemed so realistic. I honestly loved exploring and the fact that everytime I choose to see a certain object the protagonist had something to say about it.
Wonderful game. I had fun playing it. Thanks for finding and sharing it with us.
Can anyone recommend me games like this one? Not to hard to beat, please> :)

BlackLilith, thank you so much for the nice comment and I'm glad that you liked the game!
I think I'm like you, I like the game that's not too hard or else, I will lose interest. haha.

I agree with you, this game was just perfect, even though, I did get stuck at finding the true ending... But I really love the story too.

Have you tried "Happy Birthday" http://rpgmaker.net/games/4839/
or "Desert Nightmare (English Translation)" http://rpgmaker.net/games/917/ ?

These games are like Desperate love feast, very straight forward and it's really good and fun. You might like them. :)

Spoiler below...

I think it was all real, except it happened in the world that was created by Satan. Do you remember the room with Satanic book? Chihiro sold his eye to the Satan to have Takuma there. (something like that)
Chihiro was born with such. It seems like it's normal in real life and people do have different eye colors. But Chihiro's parents believed and made him believe he was a demon.

I hope this will clear a bit? If you have other questions, please let me know ;)

Again, thank you so much for leaving a nice comment! I'm (trying to...) working on the next series, hopefully, you will like that too!

i cant play without some kind of software? where can i find that anyway?

You don't need another software to play the game. You just need to have the RTP installed on your PC. (a system for the games that's are made with RGP maker; run time package)

If you've already played bunch of other games that are made with RPG Maker, then you might have that installed already and no need to do anything.

Just in case, link below is for RPG Maker VX Ace.

http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/run-time-packages

I could've included it but the game file would become really huge...!

Hello, I've been trying to play this game for a while now, but sadly every time I download the file and unpackage the .exe, it seems to be missing its graphics folder?
The site says that the file should be about 69mbs big, but the file I receive when I download it is only about 66.
I don't think I'm doing anything incorrectly when I'm downloading and opening it up, and I don't see anyone else having the same problem with the little bit of researching I was able to do about it.

Here's a screencap I took with the missing graphics folder http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/carramell/missingfolder_zps7929f706.png
And this is the error message I receive when I try to play the game http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/carramell/missingfile_zpsedf27561.png
Finally, just to test it out, I created the graphics folder myself, bypassing that error message, only to be met with this one http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/carramell/missingcache_zps606fafa2.png

I really hate to be a bother, and I understand if you're busy, but I would really love to be able to play this game~
Please let me know if there's something I might be missing! Thank you so much for your work~

EDIT: *smacks head repeatedly* God I am the dumbest
Sorry about that, aha, I thought I had downloaded the RTP! I double checked and got it sorted out, so everything's good~ Sorry to waste anyone's time with my dumb problem, haha~

Hi baskitty, hahaha, no problem and you didn't bother me at all!
I'm glad it's fixed and ready to play the game :)

I could have included the RTP with the game but it would be really heavey. If anyone are to have same the problem, they can certainly refer to your post, so, thank you so much!

I hope you'll enjoy the game. (don't forget to get the true-ending!)

I keep forgetting that I want to play this at some point. Hopefully, putting it into my playlist will help remind me.

I hope you'll play this game too. :) It's rather short but it's really worth it to get the true ending if you are to play it.

You are always leaving some good advices to especially new comers! Thanks!

yay! congratulation!!! XD

Thank you! I hope to be able to work on it soon :)

The game has been accpeted!

I, decided to start to work on the next series by Mr. Akira Takaba! And I just received all the files that needs localizing.

Yes, localizing, means everything needs adjusting, since all the files, the names within the script are in Japanese.

I haven't decided on the title yet, but this game is going to be longer than Desperate Love Feast. Playtime will be about 3 hours or so (could be longer).

Many people commented on this game to be one of the horror game that actually makes you cry. (in good way)

I'm rather busy at the moment and won't be able to work on it so quickly, but I will sure to post any updates if I have. :)

Hello Nemesis,

I love the work you did translating this game! You helped bring an incredible game with a gripping and truly meaningful story to people who couldn't have played it otherwise because of the original language it was in. I really want to thank you for that because I'm very grateful. I actually record let's plays for my channel on YouTube, Sinuyan, and I love playing RPGMaker games with amazing stories. I really get into it and sort of voice act for the characters as I record. :D

When I reached the end of the game, I found myself really wanting more because of how great it was, and I'm sure my fanbase will feel the same. I saw you mentioned that there is a sequel that is already out. I was wondering, is this sequel only in Japanese, and if that's the case are you planning to translate it? If so I will definitely be keeping my eye out for it, and if you need any help I'd be happy to provide it in any way possible. Also are there any other games out by the same developer that are in English? The developer must have quite a bit of talent to have made such a great game, and I'm sure my viewers and I would love to check out other games by them.

I hope to hear back from you, and if you're interested I'd love to hear what you think of my playthrough of the game, I've already started uploading the parts to my channel.

Many Thanks Again!

-Sinuyan

Sinuyanm, thank you so much for the nice comments! I am so glad you liked the game but most of all, it's really nice to know that people do appreciate this game and its story like I do. :) I too also believe this developer is talented and deserves much more recognition!

Yup, there are sequel to this game/story. He has one out at that moment which happened to be his first creation. (That game came out first and this Desperate love feast afterwards. It was amazing to find out that was his very first creation!)

This is the only game by this developer that's been localized in English I'm afraid. But I'm planning to do the next one!! Unfortunately, I'm rather busy now and haven't been able to work on the game yet. Since you and other people really enjoyed the game, I think I might start working on it pretty soon :D

I sure did watched your play-through of the game, it was really nice!! You played the game with open minded attitudes towards the game and lots of enthusiasm. I think many people felt it and really enjoy watching it as if they are actually playing the game. You say you've already played it through? Awwww, I can't wait to see the lest of the play-through up on Youtube!

P.S. Thank you so much for the offer! The thing is, I would rather like you to do another play-through when it's out so I would like to keep it rather as a secret! haha.. (it was definitely "decorates the dish", not "decolates"...)

Thank you again for nice comments!
