VX and Ace both have there own forums. Makes sense.
Actually it doesn't. Kentona is right, most things have a use by date. If you tie your flag to a particular iteration you are going to become irrelevant. Creating an open and wide ranging community is a better way to proceed.
Hence the reason rmn is still around a decade down the track whilst other focussed communities have gone the way of the dodo.

Well, mama said there'd be days like that.
days like this.
The point is valid, but the quote is erroneous.
So... IGMC 2015
Salim? But it had a bug. I couldn't finish first time around because the kebab never turned up in my inventory. I thought bugged games were automatically disqualified? (I was stuck so I asked around and the kebab seemed to be important to continue)

We're a development community, to be accurate. How many people here actually play other people's games?

Me, but then that also gives me a reason to let my captive Snark roam the review page, so it's a two birds one stone scenario for me.
Seeking Composer!
Meaka, you might also want to have a look at some of the stuff that has been submitted to the Summoner of Sounds competition and see if any of those themes/composers strike your fancy. If they do you can contact them I'm sure about a commission.
Not making a new project!!

Well, to be fair, they gave California to an actor and bodybuilder, so... Not really surprised. Maybe instead of an Oscar they should make DiCaprio a Senator or something.
If you're going to go with an actor for the political job, go with the best.

Glad to see you didn't lose your sanity Libby. I look forward to seeing what comes up on top. I've got a couple of personal favourites, Free Spirits of course, Dead and Breakfast (because puns always work for me) and there's a slightly odd one called ZIZ I quite liked, there are few that are message heavy both in text and in content but all in all the games I've played from the competition have been fairly good, and the ones that aren't you know right away. Though there is one I want to play but it crashes on me more than it plays, but the devs are supposedly working on the issue.
Still a pretty good selection of games to wade through over the next few months, it did feel like there were less this time around though which is probably a false impression.

Actually I'm excited for NaNoWriMo. I fell over into a black hole last year and failed in all of my personal goals, but this year I'm in a much better place. I'm averaging 1500-2000 words a day that I'm happy with (actually writing around twice that and then bludgeoning it to something both succinct and coherent), so I believe I'll hit the 50K within the month and still produce something reasonable.
As opposed to my (currently) overblown novel which is sitting at 400K words and still isn't finished. I'm thinking it's going to be the thing they use for kindling on my funeral pyre in 60 years (at which stage it'll be 2.5 million words long).
Also serious yay and kudos onHolmes vs Moriarty life, well done you, it's only what you deserve.
