Trek is easy, start with TOS and watch them chronologically. DW is a little less clear since some of the earlier episodes have been lost. I am still of the opinion that you should watch from the beginning, at the very least no matter what you do you should start with the Unearthly Child which is the first episode, if not just because it gives you an idea of where the series started and some of its fundamentals, but it becomes a bit of an injoke in the new who episodes that started in 2005. You're going to have to cope with the fact that some of these are outdated, but once you've become enamoured of the characters the fact that it is full of anachronisms won't matter.
Re GoT, you have to be ok with some graphic depictions of violence and era appropriate attitudes towards the peasantry and women in general. Yes it is convoluted, but the TV series is much less complex than the books. Still you get to watch Peter Dinklage being wonderfully brilliant which makes up for a lot.
Also there have been a lot of SF over the years, are you sure you've seen them all? xD.

It's back. Let's see if it can stay back for longer than a week, m'kay?

Oh it's going to go up, but given the force of the explosions, if there had been residential areas closer to the port the toll would have been astronomical.

You need to make it look like it's been around for a while, (not just the idea of the tent being weathered) but perhaps he could have a few items inside it which wouldn't be possible to bring in one trip, or perhaps does he have an artistic hobby, painting for example? You could show a easel with a half painted work on it and have him mention he's been working on this one for a while? Or show a section of the forest around him with chopped down trees that he's been using to fuel his campfire, and a stack of chopped firewood by the side of the tent.
E: Also, fishing nets/gear as well that is set up just to be used when he visits, the river is quite narrow near the tent, he could have a string net set up to drop in and catch fish, but that only gets used when he's there.

Sated, doesn't seem like they paid much attention to OHS in those plants and transportation services.
No, I can't imagine they did.

The sheer area that's been affected by this blast is ridiculous. It literally looks as though a bomb was dropped on the place.
At around 21 Tonnes that's about half of FOAB, so yeah, a bomb was dropped. The images you can now see in the daylight are devastating. The fact only 50 people are confirmed dead is a miracle.
