Well depending on what you count Windows 10 is actually Windows 12 (I really want to make a Doctor Who joke here).
Win 1, 2, 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10.
Also 9 is an unlucky number in Japan, there's a rumour that another reason why it was skipped.

Well as I was reading the whole fiasco with Win10 that apparently Microsoft wants to take it to the next level and update Windows 7, and 8 into bloated Spyware.
What is wrong with that company?
You can choose not to update, and I'd suggest doing just that.
