I like to smell people :).
I have an absurd fashion of littering my game creations with unnecessary light-maps and overlays.
I am fond of RPGs and first-person shooters, and have an astounding joy for horror games.

Hello everyone~
This has something to do with time...
Well, in short - Yes.
In a more lengthy response - Players do tend to prefer that the games they play do last for quite a while (though, this would depend on what the game is like! If it contains contrasting graphics, horrible mapping/level design, poor story and dialogue, or is just generally awful in all departments, then the player won't have much time/patience with it).

So anyway...
I only played a little bit of this, but so far it's quite enjoyable.
- Battles are (for some unfathomable reason) quite fun and enjoyable to play though. As mentioned, I have idea why, but you're doing it right. Perhaps it is the fluidity and polish of them.
- Dialogue is actually quite nice. Even though some of the mapping isn't that great, the dialogue was interesting and really stood out to me personally (even though at some points it was quite boring and stated the obvious).
I'd also like to point out that there are a few quirks that I have with the game as well. These being:
- Some of the mapping during the introduction and first part could be improved upon ten-fold (sometimes the mapping is a quite bland and uninspired (level-design wise), which sometimes is a little boring and dull to walk through. Though, this is probably due to my high standards when it comes to mapping and graphics!).
- I dislike Marcellus' sprite. It just had a completely different colour palette/scheme to the Rudra characters, and feels quite out of place. Perhaps recolour him in the same fashion as you have for Epoch?
- There is a tileset error in the introduction (where Marcellus is over-seeing from a cliff. When he walks away, his head is cut off by the corner of a cliff).
I haven't really played through much, so there isn't much I can say at this point.

Rei, I actually quite like the effect you have going on there. It really does convey a swamp-like, grimy and dark atmosphere. The only problem I have are those damned cave walls with the SQUARE bottom and CURVED top >:(.

What is your all time favorite video game character
post=117895Correction, it's a suit of armour, not Ershin herself ;). Ershin inhabits the armour. Though, the armour likes to think of it otherwise.
The robot from breath of fire IV, Ershin. She was probably a hit with nature, what cats don't like moving machines
