Trying out using more detailed tiles. These are Celianna's with some of my own edits, placed with picture-mapping.

how to pay for VX Ace from Germany?

edit for bad linking whatever this is the link

Can anyone help me with a skill related issue

You could also use a quick script edit (add above main)

class Scene_Battle < Scene_Base
  attr_accessor :subject
end

and use a skill that calls a Common Event, with this Call Script:

s = SceneManager.scene.subject
s.add_state(rand( x ) + y)

and replace X with the number of elemental attack states you might have, and y with the ID of the first one in the states list (the rest should be sequential after the first)

NicoB's Let's Tries/Plays! *REQUEST YOUR GAME HERE!*

Normally these are incredibly gripping for me but the Cosplay Crisis episodes started off very.. very slow. I was listening to them in the car figuring I could piece together the visuals (I usually watch these for NicoB's commentary and voice *swoon*) but it was a whole lot of talking; Then I watched it at home and you literally moved two screens in the first episode, then another three or four in the next.

I don't know if it the fault of the pacing by Kyrsty (I don't think that it is, since a lot of time was spent even on the title screen,) but you gotta keep em moving like you did with Everlasting Journey and Princess Princess.

I've only watched 1 and 2 so far so hopefully it picks up. :)

Uh.. I'd give you feedback but there isn't much there. I don't mean to be rude, but you haven't even started spriting the walls yet.

The floor texture is extremely obvious where it repeats. It also lacks any depth or shape. The 'edges' are all sorts of weird sizes and the angles aren't even drawn properly (and are lacking a floor texture.) I have no idea what those green triangles in the empty space are, and the sprite is just an outline.

I suppose I could comment on the fact you are still running Windows XP. I think it's time for an upgrade.

SOLVED Why do the bad things always happen to me?

There is a support thread for this sort of thing at http://www.rpgmakerweb.com

Super Smash Bros. Crusade

I've been playing a lot of Crusade to help break up my game-making time, and have noticed some really annoying bugs that definitely put this game at a point where you can't expect any input to do what you want it to.

I don't know why, but the game doesn't recheck for button input. I'm not sure the exact scenarios, but sometimes when I am being knocked out to the left, and hold down the right key, it won't move me right even when the momentum of the knock out is over. Also, when coming off the respawn platform, you have to let go of whatever directional key you were pressing and repress it to start moving. The same goes for using directional attacks. Often times when switching from one to another (lets say Down-B to Side-B) it will use the standard B because it doesn't know you are holding a directional button down.

Also, on the Namek level, I have fallen through the ground several times.

Some sprite animations don't have transparent backgrounds, but it only appears to be some sprites and on some levels. Megaman on the Mario Galaxy level for one, and it has happened for me for Chun-Li on some levels although I don't remember which.

Also, pressing ESC to close the software is stupid. I don't know if that is your decision or how GameMaker works, but I often find myself closing the software randomly, and it's annoying because it takes so long to restart.

That being said, some things about this game I absolutely love. I won't go into it, but Lucas' redesign is fantastic. Way, way better than Lucas in Brawl.

Tribute to the Ancient Ones :)

To a certain extent, I can agree that it is up to the player.

But I for damn sure do not get immersed in a game like Ultima 7, or Fallout 1/2, like I would with a game like Skyrim. Character creation and first person perspectives are almost necessities for immersion.

The reason I say Skyrim is more immersive than Oblivion has to do with how the creators approached the quest system, towns, and the global effect of some decisions. Oblivion had excellent content, but never was I sat down to be the intermediary between a truce for two warring factions; Addressed by the faction leaders based on my merits and knowledge of the dragon crisis.

I think the most immersive quest in Oblivion was the Knights of the Nine questline. The main questline wasn't even close. Hell, it wasn't even about you. You spent the entire time helping the real hero. Yeah, you had a hand in it, but you weren't the hero. In the end, it was Martin Septim who saved the day.

Tribute to the Ancient Ones :)

Yes you're the only one. Skyrim was much more immersive than Oblivion.

RMVXAce DRM Issue

I fixed this after a ton of looking around and reinstalling and such by simply restarting my computer.

I wasn't able to find the cause, or a real solution, but restarting fixed it so I guess that is good enough.
