I'm working on whatever I'm working on, and I love RPG Maker games that aren't traditional RPGs. Puzzlers, interactive stories, but nothing too abstract that'll weird me out. Just give me a polished gem and I'll stare at it for days, marveling at the way the light reflects just right, inner inflections, potato top pie.

I did look at YM's post, I was using the number 7) to respond to his post. And I mean that Liberty was good at making her fake reactions seem real. Because right up til the reveal I actually thought she was still townie because of the way she reacted xD

5) Yes, and hopefully we won't lynch MM for being quiet, now that we know he isn't very talkative when he's townie.
6) Last time I didn't even know CAVE, but now that I know what he's like, I can expect him to be near indecipherable no matter what.
7) And yes, ivory is very hurt from the other game, and is probably vanilla townie again. Therefore if she acts really weird don't really take it to heart, because if she dies again, she might not want to play mafia anymore, and we don't want that, do we?

I think the 2 objectives makes this very interesting. It means everyone has different motives and objectives, and not everyone wants the same thing. It's genius!

Also, maybe ivoryjones is mad because she got stuck with a bad objective. Bad objectives are bad, you know. But I'm not going to lynch you on the basis of being lynch-happy; last time we did that, we lost a very valuable member (CAVE_DOG).

Steps for making your first RPG

I'm now making a game based on your short article about how to do your first RPG. I've named it "A Little Quest", and have mapped my first dungeon, 3 levels of an abandoned mine called "Littletown Mine" or something.

The twist I put on it is that there are 5 chests on each level, each of which require keys to open. The keys are found by wandering around until an exclamation point appears above your head, which indicates that you are able to pick up a key lying on the floor. The exclamation mark goes off when you are 1 space away from any key.

Each of the 15 chests (5 per level, 3 levels) contains a dubloon, and at the 3rd level, there is a lake. You need to give 10 dubloons to the "spirit of the west", and it will teach you how to swim. Then you can swim over to the altar on the island in the middle, and voila! Quest complete, teleport out of dungeon.

Playtesting reveals that this mechanic is very addicting, and I actually found myself having fun in the game searching every nook and cranny for my own keys (I forgot where I put them xD). Can't wait to implement items and battles, etc. later on!

In short, thanks ShortStar, and I will be releasing a game probably this month based on your tutorial.
