Description
Game Chill is a winter game making contest, the goal of which is to make a game in a little over three weeks. Entries will be commented on by a quartet of judges and ranked accordingly. A simple theme is given, but the point is to just have fun making games!

You are required to include in this game at least 3 items from the following list, in some way, shape or form:

All participants who successfully submit a valid entry to the event will receive a participation achievement worth 50ms. The winner will receive an additional 100ms achievement for being so awesome. (Hey, not every event needs hundreds of dollars in prizes! This event is "old school RMN".)

THEME

- Prayer
- Frosty the Snowman's hat
- Hockey
- Fancy dinner party
- Bing Crosby
RULES
- The contest starts now (December 19th, 2013) and goes until January 9th at 11:59pm GMT. Entries must be made during this time-frame. Existing games and projects are not eligible entries for this event.
- Only completed games are allowed
- Teams of any size may work together to create a game.
- All art, music, and sound should be original, public domain or purchased by yourself. When you made it is not important so long as you have proper rights to it. Entrants may stray from this rule if they wish, but should expect harsher judgments towards ripped content than original.
- Your game must run on the Windows platform. Your game should not require any additional components that a judge would have to purchase or download.
- Games should come with a readme.txt file of some sort, describing how to play the game, listing any resources used that are not yours, and describing what components the game needs to run.
- At the end of the contest, 4 judges will rank each game using their own scoring system, and provide commentary for the entries. The final outcome will be determined by the judges. A winner and a runner-up will be selected.
- Entries not submitted by the end time will not be accepted.
- Extensions might be possible, but will be granted only by popular vote and judge approval (ie. don't rely on it). If extensions are given, they will apply to everyone, for fairness. If an extension does occur it will be only a few days at most.
- Your game can be of any genre, not just RPG. (You don't need to have battles, for example!)
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Step 1: Sign up for the contest in the "Registration" section below this event description. You can enter this event solo or as a team. Additionally, you may submit as many games or join as many teams as you'd like.
- Step 2: Create your game page. Normal submission rules apply.
- Step 3: Post your download to the game page once it's approved.
- Step 4: Submit your game download to the contest by using the commands on the upper-right corner of this page.
PRIZES

Well…my weekend’s booked.
I’ll start cracking theseeggs games open probably tonight and throughout the weekend when the NFL playoffs / Canucks games aren't on T.V.. Here’s hoping for the best! Good luck, guys and gals, and may the best contest entry win. :D

OH SHIT!! I see what you guys mean now...oh man, my bad. The starting position is in the wrong spot u.u My game is short but it's not THAT short.
If you judges can go in the editor to map 1 and put the starting position at the very bottom in the middle you can do the whole thing. I'll redo it myself in a bit and reupload for anyone who can't. Oops. Don't expect too much more, but at least it will qualify as a game now and not just a cutscene.

Think of it this way: 2112 is the year in which the story takes place. It's in the future, and 1221 would be in the past. Look forward, not back.

Like you guys were saying earlier, my game uses the themes hockey, prayer, and a "third thing" from the list that shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
Link, I updated my copy of your game to have the correct start position based on your post, and will re-try it later. For now, Czarina Must Die!

Well, stream is definitely a go for either tomorrow night or Sunday. I did some testing with Maki, and I was able to get a sampling of games (one Ace, one 2k3, one unity) running decent while streaming.
I work in the morning tomorrow and I don't know how tired I will be afterwards, so that will probably determine whether I stream Saturday or Sunday. I'll announce in here half an hour or something before I start.
I will say in my 10 minutes or something of having the games open, I've already "died." :\ I also did not bring my mouse with me and am very much regretting it. I might have to see if there is one I can borrow before the stream. I am trying to go into the stream mostly blind. I have not really looked at any of the game pages.
@Link: I've also made the change now, though I have not tested it. I'm glad you were one of the Ace users though, because otherwise I would have had to wait for the update.

I'm so disappointed I didn't get the opportunity to finish my entry into this event. I was too happy at church camp that I didn't get the chance to finish it. Oh well, perhaps my idea will have to wait for later.

Managed to play a few of the games so far.
Overall if you expand on the content in this game I think you could make something really awesome. I give it 2.5/5
This one was all right, but the corners were a giant jerk. I also didn't feel like it fit the Christmas theme that well. (Although I only managed to get 3 of the notes before I stopped, so I might be wrong.) I give it a 3/5

Oh, I didn't find him that scary, since it's easy to tell where he is from a long distance. (Which is why Slender is very scary, because you can't tell where he is at all)
He's terrifying if you turn around from a corner and he's there though.
