Either I'm being an idiot, or you're looking at a different submission rules than I.

Anyway, this thread's focus is in game descriptions. I think the section you labeled "Show what you're using to make your game" would be covered by the game-engine, and the screenshots. "An introduction to your project", "The plot and back-story of the game" and "A list of features" would be what would go into a game description. I feel "Progress report" could either be a blog, or a comment, depending on how much info is there. As for the "Credits" section, well, that could go into the description, but it could also go into a separate tab. I'm not sure if there's really a standard, as it were, for that kind of thing.

As for corrections/suggestions...

"Welcome to Raygeki! Our major is proud to welcome you to our homeland, and we hope you will enjoy your stay!

You and your mother have traveled to Zeron Town in the Raygeki Region. Professor Oak is also there, and has promised you a Vulpix as part of a graduation/arrival gift.

Elsewhere, Team Rocket arrives in the region to steal Pokemon. Perhaps even go so far as to go after the legendary Pokemon that watch over the region! The local authorities will not stop them, sadly. They are a corrupt group, and will tend to bar your way.

Also, new gyms have opened their doors, bringing Pokemon trainers from near and far to the region. Even the Elite Four have come for a piece of the proverbial pie. Are you strong enough to beat them? Who is this mysterious person you keep bumping into? What's he up to?

The Raygeki region has a lot to offer, and it's high-time to find out what!

Personal aside
Some time ago, I though about making a GSC styled fangame for Pokemon. Of the three generations, Gen 2 has been my favourite. The project started out to be a hack based on Pokemon Ruby, but, later on, I decided to delve into Pokemon Essentials. After I found out there even is a kit for it, I started using it, and started to re-learn all the things I wanted to do.

Features
(Side note, most features listed are via Pokemon Essentials)
- Modified resolution and graphic coordinates for GBC visual accuracy.
- "Day-Morning-Night" tile swap system, according to the time in the computer.
- More than 300 battle moves animations (Repeated for some of them).
- A complete source of graphics and some music/sound effects from the original Gen 2 games, and even "devamped" front and back Pokémon fan sprites from Treecko to Genesect, including their alternate forms.

...this. I'm not quite sure what to do with the "Credits" section at the moment. I do feel it can be cleaned up a bit, though.
In the days of BC there lived a tribe of
People called Red Bandana and they
Lived In a town called shine town They
We're a Rebellist people and doing well
In life. Then a group of evil men came to there land
And started to take control of It. After they took
Them away and put them in a cell one by one
They asked the light star why this was happing to
Them. After days gone by. They were free thanks to
The light Star. After walking in the wilderness for days and Days they stopped at a mountain there the light star made
A covenant with them and told them the things they should
Do and left for three days and came back on the fourth
day and the tribe were disobaying and doing what every They wanted. Now it is up to you the save your people
From their dark sins.

Would this happen to be a re-telling of the Biblical story of the Jewish exodus from Egypt to Israel? The point about the "Light Star" (God?) giving them a "covenant" (Ark of the Covenant?) and the part about the Light telling them of the things they should do kinda sounds like a reference to the Ten Commandments to me.

This is merely supposition and/or speculation on my part, though. If it is such a reference, it might serve you well to have a short little personal aside saying the game is based on that, or is inspired by it.

Anyway, all that aside, and I may tend toward my supposition/speculation on this point, but, I would suggest something like...

In the days of old, there lived a people known as the Red Bandana. They lived in Shine Town in peace for ages. Then, a group of ambitious men came with dreams of conquest. One by one, the Red Bandana were taken to prison, if not outright killed.

The Red Bandana called out to the Light Star, "Why is this happening to us?" The Light Star heard their plea, and gave them the opportunity to escape. They wandered the wilderness for days on end, until they reached a mountain. They sent you up that mountain in hopes that you would speak with the Light Star. You succeed, making a covenant with the Star, and receiving a set of commands for your people.

Yet, the Light Star spoke to no one else. When you came down from the mountain after four days of being away, would it come to any surprise that you saw your kinsfolk already disobeying the commands set fourth by the Light Star? Clearly, it is up to you to save your people!

...this.
Thanks and yes it is form Biblical story
Of the Ten Commandments I do not know if this is
a good ideal to do this or a bad ideal. and

Here is. You should select the 2003 one

Hrm. That material isn't a lot to go on. I mean, I get that the game begins at pretty much the end, and that the bulk of the game is a flashback that shows the events that lead up to that end. The best I can suggest is something like...

Marc's life is an hour away from it's end. "How did it come to be this way," he wonders. His life flashes before his very eyes...

Born in the village of Pyukan, Marc's was a pretty typical life. It was not until he met Captain Erik, after his thirteenth birthday, that his life changed for the worse.

Notes of interest
World of Pain is a visual novel, with music and maps inspired by the Final Fantasy series.

This game requires the run-time-package for RPG Maker 2003 to run. You can find it on this page. Make sure you have the right engine selected before downloading!

...this? I'm not 100% sure if the "Born in the village..." part should come first (which might mean "Marc's life is an hour away..." should probably be modified somewhat), or if it's okay as-is.

Another thing to note is if this game is part of the McBacon Jam 3 event. If this is true, you can mention that in the "Notes of Interest" section, maybe link to the event-page.

*Edit: So, that section might look more like...

A submission of team "I'm a noob, anyway I will make a game" for McBacon Jam 3, World of Pain is a visual novel, with music and maps inspired by the Final Fantasy series.

@AlanR13: There seems to be either words that are misused, or outright missing. My suggestion would be something like...

Rhenanda wakes in a room with a case of amnesia. She hears a voice telling her she should leave, as it is not safe. She finds the door locked, and the voice speaks once more: "This place is not my territory. Beware of the ghosts inhabiting it!"

What does this voice mean by "it's territory"? Is this place really haunted? How did she even get here in the first place, and how can she leave? Also, where is this voice coming from, and who does it belong to?

Gameplay features:
-Jump-scares
-Joystick play enabled
-Quick-time events
-Something unexpected

...this? I get the odd impression that the "something unexpected" under "Gameplay features" is linked to the jump-scares. Though, it could be referencing something else.

thank you for fixing my description
Hello, I'm back... I believe I'll be checking this place, like, everytime I plan on doing a new game. Oooooh the problems of not being a native English speaker...

Game: Solitude
_______________________________________________________________

Story Synopsis

Explore the corridors of the artificial biome Zool in the planet Mars, after an unknown incident took the place out of its common way and into chaos, possibly kiling all human traces of the planet, while making it a peril to life.

Seek out the truth behing the status quo of the biome and find the culprit behind it all, so it can get exterminated once and for all, peace in Mars be restored, and any survivor be rescued.

Incarnating the protagonist, you have a past that binds you with the place, and returning to it makes you wonder if the people you knew are still safe, or not.

Features

- Non streamlined gameplay. The game allows for some freedom while exploring the different areas.
- Akin to Metroid and Zelda, kind a cross between them. Dark gloomy places, sense of solitude, puzzle solving and perils lying ahead.
- Obtain new weapons, tools and enhancements to make you stronger, and achieve new options to traverse the environments.
- There are some monsters, and bosses too. Shoot them! Burn them! Make them some ice cream! Actually, no, that last one is not possible. But here, have a grappling hook.
- Mapping system as in Castlevania and Metroid, because we hate to have players being lost.
- Visual effects! I'm trying my best with this...

I'm not in a hurry with this since I still have 2 more months of development to go :^). But thanks in advance for anyone here helping.

To be honest, the thing that's throwing me off the most is what you mean by "...took the place out of its common way..." I mean, I think I understand the concept of what you're trying to say, but the words are just not matching up at all! That aside, the suggestion I would make is...

Story Synopsis

On the planet Mars, there exists an artificial biome called Zool. An incident of an unknown nature has occurred, which has made Zool's systems get out of whack, possibly even killing all traces of human life on Mars. Seek out the truth behind the biome, find the culprit behind the incident, and rescue any survivors!

Kory, yours is very concise and to the point, for that reason I'm picking Marrend's suggestion, I like to talk a lot xD!. But it's great too, I'll save it for whenever I have little space. I don't know where I'll be placing this game (everywhere I hope, wherever I can, even in your toilet!).

Thanks to both! :'3

The first question that comes to mind is how closely this game follows the Suikoden story-line. The mention of the True Fire Rune points to Suikoden 3 most specifically, and the geographical regions of Grasslands/Zexen/Harmonia. You might want to keep that in mind.

Possible lore issues aside, maybe...

This is the story of a man named Bob, and the True Runes of power. It begins with the death of his father, for attempting to hide the True Fire Rune from a madman, and his knights. This madman is not satisfied with just one True Rune, though. He seeks three of them to restore the power of another True Rune, the True Dark Rune. He will kill anyone, or anything, who gets in his way.

On Bob's path of vengeance, he will discover his father's story, meets a colorful characters that he befriends, uncover the secret of the True Runes, and prevent the awakening of the True Dark Rune.

...this?
Oh god... this is gonna be fun xP

Description:
The story is about a girl called Naokee. She's forced to become an assassin after being taken from her place of origin, which happens to be where Crimson Light's events took place. As time goes on, she encounters people who are like her, or willing to help her break free and learn the truth about everything, including herself, as the technologically advancing city is slowly thrown into chaos.

You're trying to take her towards the end result you see fit, as you can influence aspects of her personality so she prioritizes certain things over others. There is no good or bad ending, there's only action and consequence. The connection can only be severed by death.

Game features:
- Dark, futuristic atmosphere accompanied by a dark story
- Multiple endings based on ingame decisions.
- About 3 hours of gameplay on the main story, and more on side quests if the
player desires so.
- Assassination System: No need for sneaking around enemies when you can cut their throats or shoot them in the head with the element of surprise.
- Challenging Combat.. not the cheap kind, only sometimes, promise.
- Forming Naokee's personality/attitude through choice
- A combo based turn battle system
