CloseThey are not the same game, and having the same CORE cast of characters with often wildly changing secondary characters (consider, that there is about a two dozen character difference between say SFII, and Street Fighter Alpha 3) doesn't mean too much either, the 'game modes' are either staples of the genre (ONE PLAYER OR TWO PLAYERS????) or you're wrong (Alpha 3 has DRAMATIC BATTLE game mode which I've yet to see since by anyone), added characters don't have the same movesets either, and how slow or fast a game is has little to do with anything.
The fact that you acknowledge IIIrd Strike as the best Street Fighter game keeps you in the races, barely.

Probably, because it's the one I grew up on and its been around the longest. However I definitely have a lot of love for King of Fighters, Guilty Gear, and Tekken!

King of Fighters is interesting, but the KING of rehash.
Growing up with it shouldn't be a factor. Just like people who grew up with mario kart and played CTR think MK is better. But as a fact, that's just wrong, and CTR is the better game.
Same with All Mortal Kombat games (Rated M) and Street Fighter.

The thing is that Street Fighter as a series actually progressed and improved with age along with the fact that it's been around since forever. I also grew up with Mortal Kombat, but that series don't mean shit now to most people, does it?

I don't like OoT at all, and have no idea why it's so overated. I actually prefered Spyro over it.
Oh and Craze I didn't mean to diss you or anything! I just appreciate this sort of open flow discourse that this topic could have as opposed to just mechanically rambling off whatever game is currently floating in your console. I will say that if our conversation had gone on too long I would have eventually branched it off. However I do encourage anyone else to hop in or change the subject or start their own conversation or what have you.
