harmonic: Flippin' A. Very nice indeed. Though, I would say it might be a good idea to lighten up the bchara's hair to match the face (or vice versa).

Lusty: It's good to see that the game's progressing. I remember how it looked almost a year ago: the battle system looked so disconnected and the menus... Heh, as said, it's good to see it looking a lot better. Though, the sword that Mid-boss is holding looks kinda weird.

Raen: I swear I've seen that set-up of the battle system before... Maybe when you showed it earlier in the year (or last year, don't remember). Though, with the video, way too much "crawly" text. I know you're trying to take time to get across the village, but I've had a lot of experience with the bane of crawly text, and it's not something you really want to subject the player to. Otherwise... The only other errors I saw was the little blank squares were some of the fire was and that was about it. The music (though I have it in my soundtrack; small world) added very well to the scene itself.
Yeah, I have posted screenshots of my battle system before, so that's likely what you are thinking of.

And the "crawly" text should be a huge problem anymore. I've now added a lot of action to the scene, such as people running from solider, getting killed, ect. It makes things a lot more interesting and the text is kind of an after thought for the player, which is it's purpose. The text is kind of meant to seem like crazed ramblings that are in the back of the players mind, and hopefully it feels more that way now. I've also added smoke, made the screen flicker colors to simulate fire, and added a couple other cool visual effects. It looks far, far better now. I could upload another video if you'd like me to.
Harmonic: It would be better if you can access the default menu normally, and then access the alternate menu using <shift>.
I can honestly say that is the first screenshot I have seen where I have no idea what the shit is going on.

Would you want to play a racing game made in rm2k3? This is pretty much all I have so far, a system where you can drive and go round the corners and stuff... but there's no lag. I think that will become an issue once I try to put in opponents with AI, obstacles, moving scenery and things like that.

Ræn that would be awesome if it wasn't for the terribly out-of-place RTP sword animation and sound effect.
Can you suggest an alternative? I really don't know what to do. I hate it as well, but I can't really animate the soldier myself, as I'm not that good at pixel art. I don't know what else to do to fix that.
The new trailer is more lively than old one...or more deadly?

It'd be better even to have nothing happen than that terribly animation. Just maybe keep her looking at the soldiers and have them move in on her slower until the screen is panned by.
