A MONTAGE OF THOUGHTS ABOUT SEVERAL GAMES

But are they available early? I don't remember when you can buy those spells at all :(
(If this was later in the game I'd say setup gambits so everybody gives general buffs like Haste to themselves and they all target one character with Distract+Bubble then go take a shit while fighting 80% of the bosses because you've won with those sorts of gambits set up)
*edit*
Forgot that Telekinesis is also a possible decent technique except iirc you don't get it until the very fucking end of the game

Haste, Protect, and Regen all come right about when you get your full party. Bubble and Bravery come a bit later but still early enough.

Seriously, I am looking at this in depth and I cannot think of even a single instance of Squall being "emo." And there were many instances where doing this would have been acceptable! There is not even one scene in the entire game where he spends even a single line lamenting his fate or feeling sorry for himself.
What exactly makes him "emo?" Because he has thoughts?
There is one scene which he reflects on frequently where he is a young boy standing in the rain because the only family he ever knew of has just been taken away from him. If this happened to you, you'd probably take it pretty hard. But what does he do? Does he cry? Does he whine? No. He says "don't worry about me, I'll be okay." He accepts this fate with grim stoicism.
This continues onto other aspects of his life. He frequently completely disregards his own feelings in order to accomplish his objectives and missions. He is not" emo," he is stoic. Stoic is pretty much the opposite of "emo."
I posit to all of you the Squall Leonheart is in fact the least emo jRPG protagonist in history.
