Tried my hand at a pixel art portrait. My next game is going to be intense with the portraits, but I wanted a consistent art style with the low res tilesets. I can touch up some shading and anatomy errors as they're pointed out, but if the overall piece looks good, I can stick with pixel art for the portraits instead of digital art like I did before.


Oof, got jumpscared by my old ass pixel art lol. I spent RMN's downtime quietly grinding out my next game.

I'm considering remastering a couple of the older cinematics, particular FS02 and FS03 to better fit in line with the level of quality, clarity and such seen in newer ones. In fact, i would likely just make FS02 a simple in-game picture event as it isn't really complex enough to require a fully pre-rendered cutscene. meaning I could put more concentration onto FS03, and then switch FS01Sun into FS02.

To give an example of the kind of upgrade this could be, here's a couple before and afters of cinematics I've already finished.

And perhaps a much better example. This is a huge upgrade in animation, sound design and all. The clarity of whats going on is also much better.

I was gonna wait for someone else to share something but i am too impatient and I have so very much to share!

I've rewritten most of Disk 0 and Disk 1 to be more up to the standard of Disk 2, and also to update some outdated plot elements that arent so much retconned as just, poorly or too vaguely spoken on.

We aren't beating the "inspired by gravity falls" allegations with this one!

Actually with how much twisted holy verse is in this now it could easily be compared to a show like neon genesis or helsing ultimate and I'd have no idea how accurate that may be as I've watched neither.
been working on A Snowball's Chance level 4 lately. recently ported it to mkxp-z, still need to clean up some things that needed to be changed, still need to see if I can get my workflow set up on my craptop that now runs kubuntu, and I still need to figure out what I'm gonna do about the way field moves are selected, since there's a lot of different field moves.
Well, it sure sounds like you have your work cut out for you!

I won't actually be introducing this character properly until Disk 3, but i wanted to testbed her portraits so I made a mock-up scene to see how hard I could go with giving her a dreadfully terrifying introduction.

Nailed it!? Don't mind the placeholder sprite which is just a recolor of Yi Hellrider's sprite. By the time i actually need it, her real sprite will be in my hands. her name isn't danger, that's simply how she is perceived in this scene.

As nothing but that, danger.

EDIT: Okay so, I might have liked this concept enough to do a whole ass video showcasing it, with custom VA and music.

Since RMN went down and came back I've done a TON of work on so many things gamedev wise.

1: Updated Noel and the Tower of Doom numerous times, from v1.0.1 to v1.3. These updates fixed way too many issues to fix, but the game is still broken past a certain point. My main priority rn is working on Chronicles Meteorfall, but I'll get to updating my older games eventually.

2: I've updated Chronicles the Lost Page to v1.5. This is the second to last update for the game. v1.6 will be the last update and is less of a priority than NToD v1.4 but still on my to-do list.

3: I greatly updated the game pages of Chronicles Meteorfall, Noel and the Tower of Doom, Chronicles the Lost Page, and Meteo Chronicles. I am also planning on updating the game pages of Zero Gear Fighters and Dragon Ascension in the very near future as well.

3: Updated my profile to heavily simply things, update game development list and favorite games to the modern day, and update displayed games.

4: Since RMN went down I have not only released the demo for Chronicles Meteorfall (v3.0.1) but also released numerous updates for the demo, up through v3.0.5.4.

5: Chronicles Meteorfall is now a commercial game. Due to this, it no longer contains copyrighted content, unlike MC/1.0 and MCR/2.0.

6: Chronicles Meteorfall now has a brand-new original OST.

7: Chronicles Meteorfall now has custom art including a custom title screen and enemy graphics. Also tons of visual effects.

8: chronicles Meteorfall is now 60% complete, and will likely be fully complete nd released by 2026!

9: Numerous screenshots have been added to CM. Previously they were just MCR screenshots due to the CM RMN page being a repurposed MCR gamepage (that's how it got approved) that were then replaced with concept art and now with real screenshots.

10: Chronicles Meteorfall is now available on itch.io and Steam. Links to those pages are on the CM game page.
