Honestly I think those charsets would fit in a lot better with the tilesets if they had black or almost black outlines.
"damnit" should be "dammit".

oh yes, I really liked that game! If you're continuing, great! The maps are good; also in that they fit the story.

This project started a few months ago when I found an old screenshot from WAY back, and then remembered it was from an old project of mine. I took as much as I could from memory and decide, before I leave these programs for good that I would bring back one of the first games I ever tried to make, and apply all my current knowledge to it without taking away most of it's Final Fantasy ripoff style. NPCs haven't been added to some of these maps.. And it's also stupid name.

Title Screen, no games complete without one!

Clourana Entrance, ignore the name haha.. In fact all the names that will be in this game.

Revera Mountains, unfinished as you can see.

Ardoran Arena

Enjoy!

Looks good!
I like it too except the Velsarbor charas and some maps could be fuller. But I think it's just because the game is in a very early state?

"damnit" should be "dammit".

You haven't played many Max/Legion games then, because this is a language quirk of his.

Kind of like "Godamnit", which makes me cringe every time I see it.

Until you can show us YOUR creative writing degree, I don't think you have a leg to stand on.
I always spelt it damnit for some reason. Isn't both just dumb slang and the real correct one is "damn it"?

If you separate the words it also works, so you can do "dammit" or "damn it".
fuck the police, spell it damnit or you're uncool
I've always used damnit myself, seeing as the n is silent in damn anyway. But I suppose I tend to use incorrect words like ahwell and ohwell. 'cause they just seem better to me that way.

But I do use the proper spellings for things like coursework and such.

You guys are certainly right about damn it vs. dammit vs. damnit. Goddamnit.

It's just a tick of the text. (Most of this game's dialogue was written years ago mind you. Since then I've realized some of the mistakes (like 'weird' vs. 'wierd') and been able to catch myself making them sometimes.) I really don't think that this particular mistake is important enough to systematically go back through all of the dialogue and fix, however.

Looks really good, the perpective is impressive and faultless, the overall quite beautiful (forms and colors), great job!
