SOLDIER to remade in Ace. i know it was mentioned on the soldier page of my profile that the name resembled final fantasy's SOLDIER. No connection. But true, I just wanted a create a name that had something to do with the game, and what not.
Possible Meaning: Strength, Oppression, Lawful,

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. I've tried to fix a few things you've mentioned, is this any better, how do you feel about the bush?
@SnowOwl : Looks great and creepy, I really like it.
@Creation : yes, that bush looks a bit like a small tree, I guess it should be rounder (also maybe bigger relatively to the mushrooms).

Creation; If you are going to have such a dark shadow under the plants you should probably have it under everything else as well.
Also I would suggest making the grass a different color than the plant life.

As a one-of-many will-be schmuck player, I think the grass and plant matching colors are perfectly fine.
@SnowOwl I like it, but I think it's a bit too dark, unless you plan on giving the player a flashlight.
Forest mapping in 2k3 is actually kinda fun...
I REALLY wanna add an overlay to this, but I dunno yet...the best way to do what I want would be to make a overlay of four pictures that cycle.
I should probably do it for the practice.

Your mini-islands need to connect to the buttom of the lake as well (which would make them look really stupid and unrealistic, not that realism really matters but still, CONSISTENCY IS CKING)

Those are pieces of land? I thought those were like leaves or something. I need to get my eyes checked.
Yeah they're meant to be little floaty bits. We actually get them in rivers here without them being connected to the bottom, but if they're a bother they can go.

I think it looks way better without the overlay. The overlay is just gradient porn that adds nothing but aggravating "texture." The base map is very good, but with the overlay... ew.

Oddly, I agree with Craze. I think the Moon can stay, that's a nice touch. Light beams... not so much.
@SorceressKyrsty on both images the grass square just south of the right most tree is different from the others (it's brighter).
