Bowser has stolen the Princess (*gasp*) and taken her to his MOON BASE....IN SPACE! However, Mario will have to make his way through the Block Plains, past the Pirate Cove, across the Ancient Desert, over the Jungle Gorge and up Pandora Mountain to get there!
This game is a collaborative effort between Solitayre, GreatRedSpirit, Hexatona and kentona.
A special thanks goes out to Deckiller, Max McGee and ShortStar for play testing (and Deckiller for a guest level!).
-Extract the 'Mario vs The Moon Base' folder into SMBX's Worlds folder.
-Start SMBX and select Start Game.
-From SMBX's menu go One/Two Player and select Mario vs the Moon Base from the scenarios list.

ClosePlayed more today. Great level design. Except for The Locker. Something about lava pits under water seems a bit off. By the way, returning through the World 5 Warp Pipe puts you in front of the Desert Temple.

The Locker was a pretty cool level, imo. Atmosphere was spot-on.

Yay, grats on the feature! I'll download it when i get back home, even though I kinda suck at mario games.
You need the engine to play, yeah, but what do you have to do after that? Seems like everyone's figured it out except for me!
Download SMBX and put the 'Mario vs The Moon Base' folder into SMBX's Worlds folder. Start SMBX and select Start Game. From SMBX's menu go One/Two Player and select Mario vs the Moon Base from the worlds list.
Probably should whip up a readme and include it with the game to prevent this kind of confusion!

Yeah we kind of dropped the ball on instructions, I will add it to the profile, and future versions will be packaged with instructions on how to make the game run.

Ohhh, I get it now. Yeah I was looking all over how to do it and was wondering if you had to go to the level editor and test level for all of them or whatever. Will try it out soon!
I just downloaded it. Been wanting to play it for a few days. Thankx for all the messages about it Kentona. Now to bring out my Mario skills once again...nostalgia!! YES!

Kentona. Can I ask how you managed to get your name to wiggle or move around a little when people point at it or click on it? It's just your name but when I go over and click it there is this wierd distortion effect. I just thought it was cool as hell and wanted to know how you do it. Is it like that for the forums as well as the game pages? Or is it a whole website effect?
On topic. You guys made an awesome fangame. I only wish there were more levels but then again that's my wish for almost everything Mario.
