Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Cutting a Path

In the Heat of Battle - Boss Theme 2

A Dying Planet's Last Breath

come to think of it i've a question will we be able to go back and get the limit breaks we missed earlier?? in the sequel

failed the fighting the shadows and moved on instead so.. yeah

No, you'll NEVER be able to go back! Bwahahah!!

Kidding, kidding. Yeah, the Unlocker will show up sporadically throughout the game, so you'll always have an opportunity to level up your Soul Rends. ;)

Less lping moar FEing! :D
How many of those white doves that drop the coupon things are currently available?

Actually, how many of those coupon thingies can you even get?
There are around 13 or 14 Upgrade Coupons in this release, I believe (it's been a while since I counted). As for the total, you'll just have to wait and see! ;)
You may have fixed this bug since I came across it last year when I played this game but I'll bring it up anyway 'cause it was something that annoyed the hell out of me and wasted a bit of time as I hadn't saved in awhile. I can't explain it in great detail (sorry, it was a long time ago lol) but you should know what I mean.

In the desert, when you control Elise and the bandit/s, there is one of those rare monster mini-boss things - it is a big bird. For some reason, I escaped from the encounter, but upon returning to the map, I couldn't move/the game froze. I tested it a few times (I have no idea why lol) and always had the same result. Probably something to do with the event for the movement of the monster sprite in case of an escape.
@StoneCold: Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know about that one. I'll get it fixed. ^ ^
I've played this game 3 times now, and it's getting great!
Can you please tell me when I can expect episode 2?
Ive been playing the game and until now its fantastic, congratz on making such great game :)

Ive some questions that i hope you can answer:

1- How many episodes there will be?
2- You said that episode 2 was going out on early summer, do you have now a more exact date?
3- When episode 2 is out, can i use my save or i have to start at the beggining?

Congratz again and continue your great work ;)
@TheTrueShadow and Wasabi: Thanks guy, I'm glad you are enjoying the game. As for your questions...

1. I plan on there being no more than three.
2. Yeah, things have been a little hectic lately. Progress has slowed down a bit because of my newly acquired full time job. I don't have much time during the weekdays anymore to work on it, so I still can't give an exact date. But I am doing my best!
3. Absolutely. You're save file from Episode One will be compatible the next release, so make sure you hold on to it!

I'll be posting a blog post soon. I've just recorded a video with some new content that I'll be showing off. ;)
Also, one more question:

In for example anubis pass or the high road, there are some secret bosses I can't find even if I've scanned every other monster in the game. To make this "scanning side quest" harder, you have planned to make us go back there later or something?

To find secret bosses, you must eliminate all monsters in the Map/set.
I can't wait for episode 2 now :D

The new music will be in episode 2 right?
Also, how many Gaia shards can be found? 10?
Also what will be the changes from this demo to the next demo?
@TheTrueShadow: Yep yep, for the music. In Episode One, there are about 14 Gaia Shards I believe. There will be about 50 total in the game.

The changes to Episode One content will be mostly just aesthetic. A few minor dialogue changes, animated monsters, and the new soundtrack. I don't want people to feel like they have to replay Episode One again. When Episode Two is released, you can just put in your save file in and load it up from where you left off!
So you won't change on numbers of for example upgrade coupons you can find in episode 1?

Although I began a new game on episode one but decided to stop before I entered the royal hunting grounds because I want the new music xD

Although, since I really enjoy this game i'm playing it slowly. Searching every pot on every map and so on :P

And also, my game always crash befor the battle with marcellus at levantia. But when I reload the game it always works ;)

Oh heck, I can't wait for episode 2! So excited xD
I love this game!

It was the first game I played from rpgmaker.net, and it remains the best in storyline and in gameplay. Favorite music? Malvir's theme. Certain bosses can be extremely hard if you aren't a completionist, trying to capture all enemies and defeat them all. I ran across that problem several times on my first playthrough, particularly the first boss, Hyuga, and Freddy.

Oh, and I ran across a glitch that I don't think has been reported yet. If you are defeated by the shadow soul rend person by them using soul rend on you, you get the annihilated message and a game over. However, if they defeat you by normal attacks, your health is refreshed after the battle and your soul rend is upgraded anyways.

EDIT: And, on Namu Pass, the boxes around dialogs and menu items tend to disappear.
@Master_Wonder_Mage: Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it. I actually think that the Soul Rend glitch is connected with the Namu Pass messages. RPG Maker 2003's victory and defeat handler is a little screwy. It usually never works, but very rarely it does; and when it does, the game gets kinda screwy from then onwards. I have no idea why it happens, but it's another one of 2k3 weird flaws. It's annoying because I really didn't want to give a game over when trying to get a new Soul Rend, but I don't think I will have a choice sadly. >_<;;
I'm sure that you've heard this before, and are probably tired of the praise, but...

This really is a fantastic game. Great characters with distinct personalities, the artwork is a great touch (and looks good), the sound track is wonderful, and the game play is great, too. Really, very well done. I, like others, am really looking forward to the future installments.

If you ever go into game making for real, put something up on Kickstarter. I'll support ya.
@Sock: Thank you so much man, that really means a lot. You guys really motivate me to keeping pushing forward.
I have Three questions and By the way I am still Garnock Kalil

1. Does this game will soon have side quest?
2. When Episode 2 is going out?
3. We can still play by using our save games on the final dungeon in Episode 1?
He already said 1 and 3 are yes. I don't know about 2, though, obviously.
