Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Cutting a Path

In the Heat of Battle - Boss Theme 2

A Dying Planet's Last Breath

Oh sorry, I think I know what happened. I'm guessing the battle with Hyuga ended with Epoch dead, and the next scene has you controlling Epoch alone, which causes the game to give you a game over. If you upload your save file to your locker, I will fix it for you right away.

Thanks! Uploaded to locker. It's Save_07
Alright, it's fixed. It actually wasn't Epoch's death that was the problem, it was Elise's. >_< Sorry about that.

This was amazing and you know what? I just got done with it again earlier today and I do think I should raise the rating now. I don't even know where to begin my re-review. This definitely is improved on since my last play. Less bugs even and that's another thing I liked playing it AGAIN. What is this? The seventh time?
i just started playing and i like it so far.
is there any why to get the game out of full screen?
Alt + Enter I think.

Hi! I just downloaded this.. but the font is barely readable >_<Is there some kind of replacement?
Hey there,

You need to install the font that is included with the game. It's called MS_Echoes. There is a ReadMe file in the game folder that explains exactly how to install it. ^ ^

If you continue to run into trouble, let me know.

Always good to get new Kishida Mel fans!
He's the artist for the Atelier Rorona/Totori/Meruru if we're talking about games ^^
The one on the icon is from Kami-sama no Memo-cho.
It's beautiful... ; v ; I wish I had that kind of skill.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the game. I'd love to hear what you think of it once you've played through it some. ^ o ^
Of course! I'll give my thoughts on it :)
I'm not sure if it was intentional though, the bgm sounds muffled or static-y for me :o I think a couple of times there was no bgm during battles~ but that's just minor stuff. Looking forward to playing more :) (Also it's refreshing to see a maker be so talkative and nice haha)
Yeah, I'm sorry about that. There has been this bizarre bug that has plagued me for years now where the BGM stops playing after extended play (restarting it brings it back again)...it's something wrong with the maker itself. It might be a result of the large number of patches I've applied to the RPG_RT.exe (such as the custom title screen). Hopefully, I'll figure out how to fix it one day...

Hmm, I haven't heard anyone mention it being static-y though...it could be the few .ogg files I use in the game. Not everybody has the codecs to play those clearly on their computer. If it really bothers you, you can try downloading the ffdshow codecs to your system and see if that helps (just type "ffdshow codecs" into google, and it should be the first thing).

Hm i Wonder if i can pul somethi goff here/

Just curious- I have the Directshow ogg vorbis codecs- will that work as well?
Yep yep. That'll work just fine.
I would like to say This Game Wowed me even to the last second of the game
.. Maybe there are alot of dialogs yeah but its the story what makes the game playable and unique right ?
The battle system people saying slow or difficult ... Honestly did You ever play final fantasy the Ds versions or any rpg game alike ? For me this even better than Final fantasy because First ... U can capture monsters and get rewards for it .. Thats 1 feature that iam not familiar with .. The characters each have his own unique abilites and through out the game u'll find that there no like no limits for these abilites and u keep getting more and more ... yeah i died a few times but its not that hard really ;) only took me 2 days to finish it ;) and each game has its own puzzles and yeah this game has them ... every time ur character separates from the main part or team .. u find new ones ... And there are like so many boss monsters that make the game decent enough so u can get them all ... and figuring out strategys is the best way to finish the game .. and i can see the game maker is still making new features and honestly I would play the next chapter even if its still with the same features it has right now ;) Good game Worth trying ;)
@kalalas: Thanks, bro. I really appreciate the praise; I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it so much. ^ ^ I hope you'll enjoy the next release just as much!
Iam just waiting for it ... hope it comes out soon ;) xD
