Vampires are creatures that live amidst the darkness of eternal night. They have absolutely no regard for human lives and treat them like stones to be kicked away.

One night, a girl was running in a forest while being chased by three bandits. Then a black-clothed man passed by and subsequently took them down easily. The girl, who thought she was saved by him, wanted to repay him and thus invited him to her village.

......The man, who was actually a vampire, smiled and accepted her invitation. After all, the more prey, the merrier......

Nocturne: Rebirth (月夜に響くノクターン Rebirth) is a popular 10 to 20-hour (story-wise) dark fantasy JRPG originally created using RPG Maker XP in 2009 by Shou (or Cogwheel) and translated into English by me, eplipswich. It is actually the remake of the game Nocturne created using RPG Maker 2000 way back in 2002. The differences between the two include new graphics and a new battle system, with only the story virtually unchanged. This version serves as the English version of Nocturne: Rebirth. It is also my second game translation after Seraphic Blue.

Nocturne: Rebirth is notable for
- A highly original ATB battle system
- Touch-based enemy encounters
- Slick battle animations
- A highly versatile character levelling system via skill upgrades
- Unique Familiar Summon System
- Almost 100% custom graphics
- Characters that players can sympathize with
- Unique soundtracks
and so much more!

Japanese Trailer (Will make an English trailer in the future):

Latest Blog

Blog 18: Boy, has it been a while. 10,000 downloads and what's been going on

Well, first of all, this is late, but better late than never. Nocturne Rebirth has officially become one of the big boys of 10k downloads, so congrats on that!

So if you've been wondering what has been going on, I'm still translating the visual novel called Aiyoku no Eustia, so once again, if you're interested in that, you can check it out at https://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/16982-aiyoku-no-eustia-translation-project-partial-patch-is-out/

Then what about the RPG Maker scene? Remember what I said before about the game Hat World/Hatalonia at http://rpgex.sakura.ne.jp/littleworld/? Well, a revamp of it just got released about 7 months ago, with the latest version just released last month! I'm currently playing it, and I'm really enjoying it! Truly, I feel this game deserves to be translated. But I will only most likely embark on translating this game after I'm done playing it and I'm substantially done with translating Aiyoku no Eustia, so it'll be a long wait. Hopefully you'll see a game page of Hatalonia here next year! So do look forward to it.

So yep, that's really it from me for now. Till next time!

@ryan7251: Well, you only need to Brave Clear the final dungeon. But that's only one of the criteria for unlocking new game plus. You need to also find a secret room and defeat the optional boss there to unlock new game plus (after clearing the game, that is).

New game plus is similar to new game except that you get to keep items, Core Objects and Sorceries. It's more for completing the Item Glossary under Manual in the main menu if you're a completionist.

Also, going over the brave clear level won't change the story, but you won't earn a bonus reward for not clearing a dungeon under brave clear level.

EDIT: Oh yeah, actually, now that I think about it again, you only need to Brave Clear the final boss.

where is the secret room?
@Giorgio: Go to Item Glossary under Manual in main menu and look for the Brave Clear item that you won after defeating the final boss at or below the Brave Clear level. Its description will give you a hint of where the secret room is.

And glad that you're enjoying the game! :)

i finished the game at level 48 for chracter and 33 for the familiar i look for the item but i cant find it after the credits i unlocked music room and gallery here an image of item glossary there is a version 1.5 ill try again with that
@Giorgio: All your characters must beat the final boss at or below level 35 before you get that item. Since you didn't get a reward for beating the final boss, it means you never got the item.
@Xemeth: Oh, sorry, didn't see that you edited your post! I guess you probably have already figured out, but anyway, here's the way to beat him:

You need one of the characters to equip two phoenix feathers. He only casts two spells before your turn comes, so you need those two feathers to resurrect yourself twice.

There is an alternative way, but it requires a bit of luck. There's one passive skill that blocks hits at a certain percentage, so if you max that, there's a chance you can block all the spells cast at you.
it well be nice to play this game if only i can read -_-

i am not sure if Fonts can fix this sins i did Install it so how to fix it?
@2013: Your computer non-Unicode language needs to be in English. Go to regional settings, Administrative, then select English (UK or USA) under change system locale (language for non-Unicode programs).
sorry for late reply i was waaay hook to the game i forget to reply it XD

anyway thanks man :D
Hello, I have problems progressing in the game.
I'm stuck in the Laguz Cave, right before the bridge part in the picture.
I know, that you can normally jump down to the bridge part.
Problem is, that I died on the other side of the bridge. I respawned at the cave entrance and tried again, but the jump point is down at the bridge now, not at the ledge, where Reviel is standing (picture). I overwrote my save, so I'm kind of stuck.
Help please T-T
@Seph08: Send me your save file so that I can fix it for you.
Thank you!! You really saved me there :)
Did this just for science.

After downloading a fresh copy of the game, I placed one of my post-game saves in the save folder, even though the Global Save was a fresh one. After loading the post game save, I still have my item glossary (including the final boss's Brave Clear item), but the title menu is still the initial one. Pasting my old Global Save results in an updated title menu.

However, using a post-game global save doesn't seem to affect the item glossary of individual saves, since I couldn't get the item glossary of a fresh NG save to update.

It seems the item glossary is tied to individual save files while the extra menu stuff is tied to the global file.

I guess that means the final boss's Brave Clear item is added to whatever save was loaded before beating the final boss, but that probably won't happen if someone beat the game without saving.
I really love the game and I am enjoying it a lot. However I went back to the dungeons that I've done (to earn a bit of exp) but I realized that there is one place I can't get to. I've looked at the walkthroughs but still can't get there. Can anyone help me?

Start watching from 19:50. You'll need some precision to hit the crystal.

How do I get the Speed Star formation?
Also, where do I get Full Moon Sword and Phoenix Feathers?

Speed Star formation, if I'm not wrong, is somewhere in the final dungeon.

Phoenix Feathers can be gotten easily through events if I remember correctly. Can also be gotten through drops from various monsters at about 10% chance (according to wiki).

As for Full Moon Sword, it's a very rare drop from any one of the monsters in the final dungeon.
