I like it when save points happen to restore all of your HP/MP and I didn’t even have to use a Tent. Awesome!

Does it also auto-save your progress when you touch it or do you access a save menu? Either way, the animation looks nice and it's relatively quick too, so that's good.

NHL 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs / Pool Prediction Thread ~ Corona-Chan Edition ~

I’m so happy that Dallas decided to wake up and start playing some actual good hockey for once. (Come on, boys. Seal the deal...! But, you know, can you, like...maybe win it in seven so I can get some much needed bonus points, pretty please???)

And tomorrow is a pretty crucial day! If the Lightning, Flyers and Bruins should all happen to win tomorrow, UPRC will receive a crapton of points (16 to be exact) and he’ll then have a MASSSIVVVEEE lead over all of us in the standings. He’ll be in the thirty point range while the rest of are only in the tens. This cannot happen and, hopefully, WILL not happen. So everyone - let us pray...!

“Oh…in the name of the heavenly hockey gods that is the great Gordie Howe and Pat Burns, let all thy series' that come forth be extended beyond another day, so there shall be great rejoicing from everyone that is not UPRC. Amen.”

Playoff Update:

Ultimately, it was just too much to overcome for the Chicago Blackhawks as they are taken care of swiftly by the Vegas Golden Knights in 5 Games. (Good effort, though.)

Addit, Kentona, Kory_Toombs and UPRC all managed to pick up 2 Points each for predicting that the Golden Knights would move on to the second round. Addit and UPRC also managed to predict that the series would go 5 and they both receive 4 Points each instead of the usual 2. Basically, there are no losers today.

Kory_Toombs is now only 1 point ahead of UPRC for the lead.

What are Some of the Worst Movie Sequels of All Time?

Personally, lol, I actually really like Batman & Robin; it's one of my guilty pleasures. But that’s probably because when I first saw this movie in theatres all those years ago, I was just a kid. And since this movie was targeted to be more family friendly than the other two previous films, I ended up enjoying it far more than most people do nowadays. By no means is it "amazing", or a "cult classic", or anything like that, but I always found quite humorous and a decent popcorn movie to watch nowadays. Plus, you can never forget "The Bat Credit Card", lol.

Right now, at this moment, I would probably say Terminator: Dark Fate is the worst movie sequel that I’ve ever seen, other than maybe Blair Witch 2: Book Of Shadows, but I hardly remember anything nowadays about that piece of crap. I didn’t see this one in the theatres when it initially came out, as I ended watching it when it came out on demand, but I heard a few people at work say that this movie wasn’t very good compared to the other ones in the series, and, well…yeah, they’re right, it wasn't.

First off, they killed off John Connor - the main character - in the first few minutes of the film and it was never brought up or even mentioned at all throughout the plot of the entire film. This guy is supposed to be the savior of humanity and he just got…replaced all of a sudden with this little petite girl who isn’t that much of an interesting character herself other than she’s so tiny, like 5’1 or something, and it's funny watching her try to hold up a giant gun and shoot it, lol. Secondly, Arnie’s barely in this film at all. I know, he’s getting on in years and all that, but he wasn’t even featured on the cover of the box, let alone appear for more than 10 minutes in this film, which is kinda lame. Other than John Connor’s character, it’s also Arnie’s franchise too.

The new characters suck as well and aren’t very interesting. And although it’s nice to see Linda Hamilton back, they expect me to believe at her age that she can be this asskicking warrior like she was when she was much younger!? I know it’s supposed to be a science fiction film and you have to have some sense of disbelieve coming in, but come on!

I kinda wish that they just did it where the T-1000, Arnie’s character, had to travel forward in time to an alternate timeline to recruit old Sarah Connor to go back and save young John Connor from getting killed and screwing up everything. The entire film could have taken place in the Terminator 2 universe (you know, the best one!) and they could have used some really clever CGI tricks to have a young Sarah Connor meet her old counterpart and the same with Arnie. Maybe for the sacrifice scene, old Sarah Connor sacrifices herself instead of the T-1000 and now the younger T-1000 has to take care of young John Connor along with the young Linda Hamilton, while the old T-1000 disappears from existence because the timeline has now been corrected, or something like that.

Either way, it's probably not the worst movie sequel of all time, but it's definitely the one movie that I'm still really perplexed about why it was made like this in the first place with its baffling story decisions and overall direction. Like, I don't think this movie needed to happen at all; the series should have ended after Terminator 3 or even Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

And I still haven’t seen The Last Jedi nor The Rise Of Skywalker. One of these days I will. But, for now, I just don’t have any interest in watching either of those films. I know that the Emperor comes back in The Rise Of Skywalker (which is just stupid and doesn’t make any sense to me at all and completely destroys Vader’s redemption arc), but other than that, I just don’t really care. I did enjoy The Force Awakens though, despite it being mainly a carbon copy of the original film, but I digress.

Wait, didn’t Florida already get the number one overall pick a few years ago and drafted Ekblad??? Either way, they didn’t deserve to get it either, bunch of losers.

Anyways, it’s do or die time! I can’t be in the basement for a second year in a row. I just can’t!

So with that, I’m going with…

Golden Knights Over Blackhawks In 5
I’m pretty much going with the majority here and picking the Golden Knights in this one as well. Their team from top to bottom is just completely rock solid and should have no problems getting past the Blackhawks.

Avalanche Over Coyotes In 6
Although the Coyotes probably have the better goaltending tandem and are maybe "slightly" better on defence, still, Colorado is heavily favored in this matchup and should have no problems beating the Coyotes. (However, the last time I underestimated the Coyotes they ended up winning against the Predators, who were a much better team than them on paper, so…maybe this one isn't going to be as lopsided as we think.)

Stars Over Flames In 7
I honestly have no choice but to pick the Stars if I have any chance of making a comeback and winning this thing. Hopefully they’ve wakened up from their five month slumber and are ready to go!

Blues Over Canucks In 6
Obviously I’m going to cheer as hard as I can for the Canucks to win this series, of course. But, ultimately, this is probably where the bucks stops for the young Canucks. St.Louis is just too good on paper to fail here.

Flyers Over Canadiens In 6
Is Carey Price that good enough to steal this series from a much more dangerous Flyers team??? I’m not entirely sure that he can pull off a second straight miracle here, but I think the Canadiens manage to hang in there with the Flyers long enough to make it interesting.

Lightning Over Blue Jackets In 7
The rematch of the ages! While I don’t believe either team is going to sweep the other for the lolz, I expect this one to be an absolute barnburner. But the Lightning do get the last laugh and end up taking it over the Blue Jackets in the end (otherwise...come on).

Islanders Over Capitals In 5
In another one of my desperate attempts of making up some ground here, I’m going to go with the Islanders in this one as one of my surprise picks. The former Caps coach and goaltender from years past gets some much needed payback against their former team as they knock out the Caps in frustrating fashion.

Hurricanes Over Bruins In 7
Come on, this series has to go seven and who else to win a game 7 than the jerks from Carolina (since they’re so good at doing that). Considering that the Hurricanes were swept last year by these same Bruins in the Eastern Conference Finals, I think they have enough to get it done and move on.

Here's to losing!

- That's the spirit! Let's see if either of us can get more than three correct this time around, lol.

NHL 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs / Pool Prediction Thread ~ Corona-Chan Edition ~

Oh, thank god that the Oilers, Leafs or Penguins didn’t manage to get the number one overall pick in the draft lottery today. I don’t like the Rangers that much either, but considering that they’ve decided to tear it down a few years ago and commit to a full rebuild and have managed to have some success while doing it thus far, I think this is fine.

author=kory_toombs
Blue Jackets 4-0 (Can they do it again? I think they have the Lightning's number.)

I will laugh SO hard if that happens again, lol. I mean, come on, Tampa, they don’t even have Bobrovsky anymore (although, apparently, that didn’t seem to matter that much against the Leafs, lol). This your golden opportunity for revenge! Don’t make me have to break out this video from last year:

NHL 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs / Pool Prediction Thread ~ Corona-Chan Edition ~

Also, we now know who’s playing who in the next round that starts on Tuesday:

Western Conference:
(1) Vegas Golden Knights V.S. (12) Chicago Blackhawks
(2) Colorado Avalanche V.S. (11) Arizona Coyotes
(3) Dallas Stars V.S. (8) Calgary Flames
(4) St. Louis Blues V.S. (7) Vancouver Canucks

Eastern Conference:
(1) Philadelphia Flyers V.S. (12) Montreal Canadiens
(2) Tampa Bay Lightning V.S. (9) Columbus Blue Jackets
(3) Washington Capitals V.S. (7) New York Islanders
(4) Boston Bruins V.S. (6) Carolina Hurricanes

So I’ll need everyone’s 1st Round picks in by Friday, August 14th @ 7:30 P.M. PST, 10:30 P.M. EST before the Stars and Flames Game 3 starts, capiche?

I’ll probably do my picks sometime by tomorrow. I gotta do MUUUCCCHHH better than I did in the Qualifying Round to have any chance in this thing. I don't wanna finish in the basement again, it smells funny!!!

LOL TORONTO!

You have one of the greatest comebacks in playoff history only for the next game to completely crap the bed and blow it. Unbelievable…

author=kentona
$##!&^*% Oilers! I've never seen them play so sloppy this year! Perfect time, of course. Can't wait for them to win the draft lottery. Again. (at least they can come out on top of something)

- They BETTER not win the draft lottery again! What would that be then, 5 first round picks in the last 10 years??? Come on, give it to somebody else that actually deserves it for a change, like the Rangers, Wild or the Jets, considering that they were going to draft first overall under the old format before this whole crazy thing happened. And I don't want Toronto to win it either.

Playoff Update:

Despite an heroic comeback for the ages on Friday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs couldn’t get it done when it ultimately mattered and was defeated by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 5 Games for their second straight playoff victory in franchise history.

JDogg1717 was the only one who thought that the Blue Jackets would get it done against the Leafs and picks up 2 Points for his efforts. UPRC managed to pick up a crucial Single Point for predicting that the series would go the distance.

At the end of the Qualifying Round, last year’s champion, Kory_Toombs, is now 3 points ahead of former champion, UPRC, for the overall lead entering the next round.

I’m basically going to have to ride the wave with Dallas and hope to god that they manage to wake up in time and do MUCH better than I had in the Qualifying Round in order to have a chance to catch either of you for the lead at this point. I still believe that I can do it, but, maaannn, is it going to be a challenge.

author=kory_toombs
Last year, I was on top after the first round and never looked back.

Yeeaahh, but you almost lost it because of Shinan and those stupid Bruins. Luckily, you managed to hold on and the rest was history (…thank god).
