NHL 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs / Pool Prediction Thread ~ Corona-Chan Edition ~
So now we got one more series left.
It’s optional at this point, but for all of those who are still interested in finishing things strong, I’ll need your Stanley Cup Finals pick in by Wednesday, September 23rd @ 5:00 P.M. PST, 8:00 P.M. EST just before the start of Game 3.
There are still some things left to play for, actually. If Kory_Toombs can somehow manage to get 4 Points and UPRC doesn’t happen to get anything in the finals, then he’ll move up and tie UPRC for second place overall. And as for myself, if Dallas should happen to win the Stanley Cup against Tampa Bay, I’ll earn myself a second achievement with the Crystal Clairvoyant Award. Shinan almost won this award last year with the Bruins, so I’ll wonder if I’ll be able to get it this year?
And with that, I’m OBVIOUSLY going to pick the Stars Over Lightning In 6. I got nothin' to lose, so might as well give Dallas my support. And as for why in six? I...just have a funny feeling about the number six in this one.

FINALLY!!! After all of these years (and, god damn it, Lightning - why did you almost have to give me a heart attack there!?), I have FINALLY won one of these blasted things, I seriously can’t believe it!
I thought that after the Qualifying Round that I was DONE, had no chance at all, was pretty much battling Kentona for the basement (again...). And then, I suddenly started getting predictions right! And then Dallas managed to pull it off against Colorado in Game 7 in overtime and that’s what mainly did it for me. If Dallas got eliminated in that game, it probably would have been a MUCH different story, but, holy shit.
And El Waka has the audacity to give my character a Luck rating of 0. FOR SHAME...!!!

Playoff Update:
The New York Islanders and Semyon Varlamov did all that they possibly could – and almost managed to pull it off again – but it wasn’t meant to be, as the Tampa Bay Lightning finally managed to get that series win in 6 Games and now move on to face the Dallas Stars for the Stanley Cup.
Addit is the only who picked the Lightning to beat the Islanders and receives 2 Points, which turns into 4 Points for also predicting that the series would go to six. Kentona also manages to pick up a Single Point, too.
And with that, UPRC is now officially eliminated – which means, that congratulations, Addit! You are this year’s winner of the NHL 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs / Pool Prediction Thread ~ Corona-Chan Edition ~ and have earned yourself The David Ayres Award!
It was a HORRRRRRIBLE start for you in the Qualifying Round going 2-5-1, but then you managed to get your bloody shit together and go 11-1-2 to pull off the Christmas miracle and rocketed yourself up straight into the lead for the win. After five years of pain and misery, followed by last year’s choke job - you finally get to be on top for once!

So hopefully tonight’s the night that the Lightning crush the Islanders and move on to the Stanley Cup Finals and END this madness. I mean, for god’s sake, they were playing the Na, Na, Na, Na, Hey, Hey, Goodbye song at my grocery store today - that had to mean something!
If they happen to LOSE tonight, then…uh oh...

Honestly, if it’s Tampa Bay and Dallas in the Finals, I seriously don’t know who’s going to win that one, that’s a toughie... I’ll probably vote for Dallas if the matchup happens, but…I’m not so sure who's going to win... Dallas has knocked off some pretty impressive teams and have really defied the odds this year, and the Lightning are playing through some tough injuries of their own but keep managing to make it by just fine, so...I dunno.
If they happen to LOSE tonight, then…uh oh...
