AESTHETICGAMER'S PROFILE

I'm Dusk Golem, aka AestheticGamer. You can also just call me Ryan. I work on small RPG Maker horror games for contests and pleasure, that usually tell cryptic surreal stories and were made relatively quickly. Most of my games either feature mostly original or completely original graphics, art, and music. However, I also work on much bigger and developed games as well. My first big developed RPG Maker game I'm working on slowly over time is Complete Isolation. In the meantime, I work and release smaller things here and there, they're good practice and learning experiences.
Red Haze
A twisted and cryptic take on the classic Red Riding Hood story.

Close Your Eyes: Redux

ALRIGHT, sorry about that, the glitch of the train being full of spikes is now fixed, and safe for download. Sorry to early downloaders. XD;

Close Your Eyes: Redux

D'oh, I made a dumb error with the final game that made it unpassable by some later-in tile messing. Fixing quickly, but if you downloaded the game before this message re-download, it made it so once you enter the train there were a lot of unpassable spikes inside.

Close Your Eyes: Redux

Annnnnd completed, a bit later than I meant, but now to see if people like the game or not.

Close Your Eyes: Redux

It's been delayed a bit because of gaming in the end. XD; I got the Killing Floor 2 beta and was another beta limited to this weekend, so I spent most of this weekend playing games. XD; Oh well, will set the release date to a no-later than date, and have the game done this week.

Close Your Eyes: Redux

Developments going swimingly, I was worried I'd be pushed to release this after the weekend was over, but it looks like it'll be done by tomorrow or the day after at this rate.

Close Your Eyes: Redux

Pushing it back to the 11th (though it may be done by the 10th) for a last-minute decision to include a musical number. No, don't ask.

Close Your Eyes: Redux

Setting it to in Production, but it's almost done, I'm just adding a few more new things to a relatively short (but now longer) game, to be done on the 9th-10th.

Girl's Graveyard: Redux

Certainly difficult, though it is slightly easier than it is. Redux of my other game is almost finished.

Oh my Jinxe, yai, I will say the foggy darkness sequences towards the end of the game do have a lot going on visually, and are probably the trickiest part of the game. They don't take up a big portion, but something to keep on mind, it was supposed to be visually dissonant but obviously I didn't want to give anyone a headache.

Trailer uploaded as well, and have the game available in several different places. A few typos I am pondering if I should go and fix, or if I should make how to get the two other endings more obvious or not.

Girl's Graveyard: Redux

Thank you Gliz, that actually provided a lot of feedback, which is useful for things to keep in mind when developing in the future. Also affirms avoiding one-hit kill enemies for the next game I'm working on was the right decision.

The other two endings I'm not expecting people to find for a while, I will say one of them is an extended ending of the ending you got that goes a bit beyond the ending point on the normal ending, a single event you can trigger at a certain point in the game, but a bit devious where that event is.

The other ending is something else entirely, but that ending may not be found for a while. I may make it easier when I get back home and patch a few things, the ending is a multi-step process and incredibly cryptic.y only clue I will give though is... Do you like candy?

Girl's Graveyard: Redux

Gothic VL font? Strange as this game doesn't use a custom font of any kind.

Just google'd, found out it's because the Redux version of the game includes a bit of Japanese text and/or compressing the data in it. For why the Redux version has Japanese text, I'll say nothing. You can download the font here though and read more information from here, I'll fix when I get home from my trip:
