[mafia] Spy vs. Mafia II Day 3
If Milk was the last agent or scum though, the game would have instantly ended. So we knew he was town.
I also intentionally didn't point out that Piano never confirmed Ozzy's codename.

So I was right, Cave was just being intentionally confusing and misleading. Whooo would've thought?
For what it's worth, I liked how it was setup. I actually kind of wish that all the items had a chance to backfire or fail. Yeah it made scumhunting difficult, but that kind of just means that every time you think you find the smoking gun, you have to wonder if it's a good idea to share or not.
I didn't like the no-nolynch part though, who votes when is pretty important and not having nolynch changes that.
*brags* I surmised this fairly early (and Piano confirmed by saying "it is unknown" when I asked about that rule in PM).
So I just had this super scummy magnet for life.

By "nobody could ever have two items" I meant "At the same time".

author=Jeroen_Solauthor=AlaskanEmilyI disagree. The undefined brass instrument is safest to use for scum when everything in thenm game is still open.
I also still don't think that Psy would have hit the trumpet so early if he was scum. At this point in the game I think that blowing the tuba is pretty neutral since it's so late, holding on to it doesn't matter too much.
My thinking is that scum wouldn't want it to keep coming back so many times. They would want the total number of times it appears to be low, since every time it comes back there is a chance that they will get targeted.
I do see what you're saying. Although we're actually at a lower scum-to-town ratio right now than when we started, aren't we?

I don't want to go against 90% chances without a really good reason, and I think the points against Psy look more like being a little clumsy than being scum.
So...I guess...
#lynch Cave?
LockeZ is like 99% town to me now, it would be weird for scum to list observations like he did totally unsolicited in the first place, and then he got saxophone'd. I kind of don't feel great about Cap, but I guess it's pretty townie to have claimed the protective item so early.

I'm sadly kind of doing a process of elimination, although at this point it's not all that unlikely that the trombone has lied once. If I had to guess someone who it said was town...I mean, I haven't really thought much about Fomar in a while, I would probably scrutinize his posts next.
Alternatively we could just lynch Jeroen, because if we are so bad at this that we can't stop scum from winning we know we can stop Jeroen from winning. Because that's how games is work.
Also I won't be around again until pretty late tonight, I'm traveling.

That's a joke I don't really want to do that, no matter how funny it would be

the logical counterbalance to the agent toolset of being able to see what items people have, and being able to protect, would be, like, a very good item that is inherently evil if the agent scans the person holding it or else I don't know what the point of odd's glasses are, and a way to bypass protection or roleblock.
I mean...SOMEONE has a very evil item. Someone whose name starts with A and ends with laskanEmily. But I'm not sure how useful the x-ray specs would be, if you just read "magnet" you wouldn't realize how scummy my item is.

Yeah, it seems so much more likely to me that scum would just sit on the saxophone. It's so dangerous for scum to use it, at least early on for sure.
