I do the day and night method as well. I use it as a main switch for a black market, locked doors at night, some only open at night. But i'm having one issue; How can i set it so that staying at the inn passes time? I use 2k3 and cant find the option to set the event in the inn..

Try making it, as a whole, on a switch. I got the idea from the jump tut. I can make my jump active or inactive for cutscenes. Maybe this can work the same being set up really similarly.
