I'm Ben_Random. I've been around since 2008 but I didn't really get active here since Super RMN Bros. 2. That, an unfinished game, and a couple of contests sums up what I've done with game making on this site. I find that my main purpose here is writing. I have a few tutorials out there, as well as some reviews on Mario fan games such as RMN Bros. or Mario V.S. the Moon Base.

SMBX ad ware

I'd suggest using something like Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to remove adware. Most anti-virus software aren't intended to tackle adware or spyware; they go after the actual viruses that subsequently carry in the adware and spyware.

http://rpgmaker.net/tutorials/rmvx/Make sure you aren't already duplicating an existing tutorial. There was a bunch of basic tutorials written a few weeks ago. For example, I wrote one on the basic mapping, Ruby, and basic Titlescreen and Font customization.
I know, that's one of my problems. I find no use in making a tutorial that has already been made.

Nope. No ads still. I've noticed the Bing toolbar seems to have ads and reinstall itself... no matter how many times I uninstall it.
I havn't gotten a bing toolbar. What browser do you use? I'm using Mozilla.

I think an explanation of switches and variables would be good, as well as a starter one. I am deeply considering these. Note that I have no scripting knowledge at all, so I won't be able to help with that.

I think it is adware free. I have it on 3 computers and I've never noticed ads. But hey its free.
I suppose I can live with it.

The mapping looks nice. You have a small map with lot's of realistic detail. The three tree's in the center is rather odd and I think the fire pit should have more dirt around it. Just having it sit in that single spot of dirt makes it look...unnatural. Try adding some benches around it. Jazz it up a little. Just remember, DON'T MAKE IT CRAMPED. Almost all maps are either to big with not enough detail, or to small with to much detail. This map is very balanced. I think you could replace those central trees with a bench though.
