Anarchism has a long philosophical history and to brush it off as something that 15 year olds self-identify with and nothing more is totally marginalizing and whatnot. There's been points in history where countries have had strong anarchist movements, and were fighting for something they believed in, and it's still a social movement and philosophy being developed today in universities and on the streets.
I'm leftwing. I'm not sure what else to say. Elements of anarchism, communism, socialism, participatory economics and whatever else are all nice. I really disagree with rightwing thought, but I'd prefer someone to be rightwing than apathetic, as apathy destroys the (few or many, whatever) democractic freedoms many people have died for us to have. Reading your provinces/states/prefectures/whatevers labour laws should be mandatory for workers and employers.
If anyone's rightwing and likes heavy debate, I can redownload AIM. I'd love to better explain a fairly strong left argument, and listen to a strong right wing argument.

FFTA's story was weak, but it was still a very fun game because of the battle system. The story was nice cute fluff. It was good at being that.
Nothing seemed too horrible about the linked character design.

Final Fantasy Tactics: A2 comes out here next month. It's the game I'm most looking forward to currently. Although every now and then I get ideas of buying RE4 for Wii.
DON'T YOU JUST HATE...
darkshade9 is shadowcorporation's brother, right?
I swear like a sailor.
Having a name for a monotheistic God makes sense to me for differentiation from other religion's God or Gods. (polytheistic or monotheistics).

Our natural world is being replaced with too much concrete. I'm not comfortable living in a place where I don't see enough grass, trees, plants, etc. I seem to be the only one I know who thinks this is a really big issue. Maybe it is needed for our society to get by nowdays, but this is such a sad thing.
I see tons of nature everywhere dude, and make sure the majority of my time is in it. I'm not sure where you're living.

I'm playing through the Phantom Hourglass right now, and the controls are still a little strange for me to get used to, but attacking enemies is definitely something that's very fun and easy. I'm on the wide open sea sailing away, and it's again, about as much fun as it was in the Wind Waker. In the japanese version, all kanji can be touched with the stylus to give furigana which is great or kids and non-native speakers.
I'm looking forward to buying Mario Party 8 and a few more controllers. Should be fun.

And you are...? (THE INTRODUCTION THREAD)
I'm Chris. I'm from Surrey, BC, Canada, but I know live in Chiba, Chiba, Japan. I'm 23, and I teach high school and kindergarten. It's quite fun.
I've never released a game, and probably never will. I have no interest in rpg makers anymore, but I first came to the rpg making community on the nexus (holbert's old site, sometime in 1999), so every few months I checked up if the "nextnexus" was ready or not, and eventually this came.
My favourite rpg is dragon quest V or lunar or something like that. I also don't play too many games now. I really only do in japanese as practice. I really like reading, surfing, and debating many topics, but with a main interest in social theory. I studied Sociology and Anthropology when I went to university.
I would get back into rpg maker, but it's so time consuming, that I think it's for the best if I don't, and perhaps only poke into the odd rpg discussion.

Honest Question
How has Tetris's control changed?
I don't think it's all relative. We can all agree on what a shitty game is, and what a rad game is.

Honest Question
The question wasn't if Tetris is the greatest game, but if it was one of the 10 greatest games.
Tetris is great because of its simplicity. It's much harder to make an amazing simple game than to make an amazing complex game. It wasn't different to be original or innovative, it was different only because it was an idea that was never actualized. It doesn't rely on anything but its concept to be fun, and therefore will be considered fun for a long time, while games like Chrono Trigger are fun for nostalgia (would a kid of today's generation see its merit?), and Resident Evil 4 are fun for their amazing graphics and innovative control (but two things that can both easily be improved upon). Tetris doesn't need graphics, and its control is perfect for what it is.
It's not the greatest game ever though. I'd put it probably at the lower/mid section of a top 10.
