Tell us about yourself!

I'm your standard English teacher in Japan. High school and kindergarten. I like shit in nature and debating. I want to go for my Masters next year, and I'm not sure if I want to get it in Canada, the EU or Australia yet. I'm also one of them ultra-left wing people who doesn't eat meat and inquires about people being sleazy. Punk is the music of choice. Drinking is a big pass time. I'm not shy about my shyness and don't run from awkward situations. I'm confrontational in an innocent non-aggressive way.

Can't think of any other shit to say, and I'm sure another person describing me would use the terms "fuckhead" or "maroon" a lot more.

Obama is the democratic Nominee. Hurray.

I was going to say something similar to holbert, but less strong.

Clinton's speech was good on Saturday. I hope she can rally her supporters to Obama.

Obama is the democratic Nominee. Hurray.

Voting for McCain over Clinton is silly if you prefer Obama. They're stances on issues are basically the same.

Go Obama go. Although I think the Republicans will will it.

The Emo Wardrobe

There was an article in 2001 about how all bands given the emo label did not consider themselves emo. The article came to the conclusion that it's not actually a movement any musician wanted to be a part of, but something placed on them either by fans of by a record industry (independent at the time) attempting to create something similar to the grunge movement (another manufactured label).

Rise Against's first two albums are really really good, in my opinion.

The Emo Wardrobe

That long debate was a bit much and had many leaps of logic.

I've listened to emo music for the last 10 years or so years and it seems recently the media has transformed it to mean something beyond my grasp. We used to use words like hipster for people with this sort of fashion. We never used to use to the Emo to describe a person. I don't think Hey Mercedes or Jets to Brazil are about this shit.

Wii Fit

I've played it and it's a fun time. It's not meant to be the primary source of exercise but a supplementary one. For that, it is fun. The mini games are fun. It's fun to do 15 minutes a day by yourself, but with friends for a bit at a wholesome party.

Games for fun works for me, I'll read the Russian greats or whatever if I want my mind to be blown. I hate it when games try to be deep. I've never seen one succeed. Well, maybe Lunar 1 and 2, but that was in a totally different way.

Discuss!

In Europe and Asia, most businessmen know at least 3 languages. When dealing with Americans I'm sure English is the unofficial language of commerce, I'm not sure about other situations, but if it is it'd be strange that business men want to learn 3 or more languages.

Also, I'm not disagreeing that America isn't an English speaking country. I know that long ago, it was decided that people should speak English (there was a close vote about it with German or something? I'm not sure if that's hearsay or not) and all that. I just think as the rest of the world's academics and businessmen know more than one language, it would greatly benefit those in English speaking countries aswell. To think in another language and to immerse yourself in another culture (like you did in Mexico) shouldn't be an experience for the few, and in bringing such things to the masses, and an acceptance of other languages, I think it would lead to a better image for America and lead to less ignorance on the average citizen.

Musical flavors

I'm listening to the Broadways and the Dresden Dolls a lot recently.
