Dragon Quest IV!
How would they make her Russian? Like have an accent or something? Her country is Russian-esque? I played through the intro of chapter 2, but I was too lazy to read the text, but I don't think I know what a Russian accent on Japanese text sounds like.
Dragon Quest IV!
As any fundamentalist Dragon Quest fan, I was initially quite upset when Ryan (Ragnar) got a lot more experience from his present from the king than he did in the original. Then I remembered how it sucked to find him in the third chapter on level 12, and that he's on level 15 now makes the game a little less annoying.
It's funny how I treat each change as sacrilege. Don't even get me started on the updated midi music.
There's no word on if they're coming out in English. Considering all the Mana crap that's getting released in English, you'd think they'd have the time to release some good games. Before Enix merged with Square, they did release Dragon Quest's 1-3 on the GBC, and I'm sure IV-VI on the DS would be a lot more profitable.
Seiken Densetsu 4 did come out in English, right? I'm curious and going to check what it was called now.

Yeah, I bought the Japanese version.
So far I'm not sure if the difficulty has been dumbed down or not. I'm at the Tower in the first chapter currently (which is hard), but I haven't had to level up for anything beforehand.
Also not sure if they've added the later weapons of boomerangs to the game like they did with Dragon Quest 3 for the GBC. Ankylo probably knows?

Dragon Quest IV!
I just picked it up for the DS, and it looks exactly like Dragon Quest VII, so I guess it's a port from the PSX version I never played.
The beginning starts differently than it did for the NES, and introduces characters I don't know.
I'll post more as I progress through the game.

Final Fantasy IV (DS)
The great thing about characters who don't have voice acting or too too many lines is that you can sort of give them the personalities you want to give them.
