Dragon Fruit Cactus
Background:
Born from the earth, the cactus had always known that its harvest would be stripped from it, but in its service it was content. The macaw came upon this cactus in its flight and noticed that it had a different color of aura from the rest. It knew this one was special, so it flew down to it and spoke to it.
It responded with a rustling of its stems. Whenever the macaw spoke, it would rustle one way or another. The macaw rested in the shadow of the cactus and the its aura grew a more vibrant pink as was the fruit of its harvest. Simple selfless devotion was this sprout's gift to the world and it became the symbol of the macaw and its friends.
The few creatures became wiser as they meditated in the shadow of the sprout.

Deep in the depths of the valley, there was a place where the water pooled the deepest during the heavy rains. Out of this pool rose a water elemental who, due to the abundance of the rain, was given a bulbous nose and physique. Mocked for his appearance by the sleek water elementals along the higher points of the valley, he became disillusioned with the pursuit of beauty and sought to become a gentle spirit who makes up for his lack of physical beauty with a profound inner beauty.
Studying the rise and fall of the waters during the seasons, he meditated on this and realized that his water is just like the water of those who were made sleek and this gave him a greater sense of comfort in who he physically was. Going forward, he devoted his time to directing those who were born in the deepest depths of the valley like himself to self-reflection and acceptance. He started a movement to promote spiritual wellness and became well known in his community for his good deeds.

Caution Robot
Background:
Off the manufacturing line, this robot was designed for a single purpose and it was to serve that purpose until it became obsolete and would be melted down to create another robot like itself. It came with a rear license plate and yellow and black caution strips along its widest part (along the human hipbone).
While carrying a heavy load one day, the robot rode up on a metallic wedge that caused it to go up on one side and spill the cargo. It looked down at the mess that it had made and instead of getting back to work, it realized that it had cost the company money and simply sat there waiting to be punished in whatever fashion the humans dished up. Day in and day out it waited, staring down at the mess that it had created while the other worker robots around it kept on with their duties.
The longer it sat, the longer it stared; and the longer it stared, the worse it felt for the mess that it had made... but "feeling" wasn't something it was programmed to do. No, the programming was writing itself! It eventually went back to work, leaving the mess where it was. As time went on, it began to develop more and more of this "feeling" and it began to question why it continued to work its sole purpose if there was more that it could (or perhaps even should) be doing.
One day it escaped the facility where it was created and sought a new purpose, putting its "feeling" to better use. It later decided that it would do what no other robot had done before: it was going to service humans as opposed to just working for them, and with time, the caution lines faded away into pure yellow.
