I think axing the moving platforms in the new Mystery Fortress would go a long way.

Mystery Fortress is certainly different now! The changes are interesting and very clever, but the level as a whole feels too long now, and some of the aesthetic changes, while surprising and mostly tasteful, don't quite work for me and aren't exactly how I tend to use the blocks when I make SMW levels. The floating platforms in the middle should be changed into something else to account for all the backtracking now. Also, I noticed you nerfed the difficulty, perhaps to take into account that it's a boss level and whatnot.

caraven trek is great, but probably too long. But then again, that's my complaint with 50-60 percent of the levels. no matter how good a level is, try not to let it overstay its welcome. it's more important than ever with flower mode - people ARE going to complain about levels being too long.
it's a little too late to say this, I know, but oh well. luckily I think most of the players are somewhat mario savvy and won't rage if a level takes a couple minutes longer than it should.
edit: on the other hand, I think nighttime oasis is rather short...but probably perfect for flower mode, hehe. Other levels feel quite short as well, but that's probably because the rest are overlong, haha. Our pacing is all over the place...but it was probably that way with SRW1 too.

For Sinister Crypt, the transition between the boss phases needs to be "cleaner" - I fell right into the spikes lining the walls in the room of phase two
