Is it possible to "add on" to a game after it's being played?

You will, however, have to complete the characters in the database in the first instalment. If someone was a blank spot when the file was started, they will be level 1 with stats of 1 when they join later. These things stick with how they were when the file was started. :(

Obviously, with a switch indicating if they started on an older version or the latest version, you could tweak their stats in-game, though.

Inspiration and Work Ethic

I try to not place too much stock in how popular my projects are - my psyche is fragile enough as it is. I put my stuff out there in hopes that it is liked, but accept that people probably won't. But that's okay, because I have such low self-esteem that I already believe that anything I make is crap anyway.

*sigh*

1.) In that case you are very brave to put your full name on your project! (though it's not like your username is much of a cunning disguise) I'm grappling with this idea myself but it's a toughie.

2.) Eh. Artistic temperament, and all that. I don't think that many people have created great works of art, sat back and thought man this is fucking great. A lot of people feel the same, myself included. I guess because practically any piece of art/media/whatever is based on its inspirations and obviously you will never create that which you seek to emulate! (assuming you don't want to plagarise which you probably shouldn't)

Yep. The new Rockendorf Cave chipset is quite a bit easier on the eyes than the one from the first demo. Evident in the fact that I feel comfortable making it into a battle background and using it as a screenshot, I suppose.

Hopefully... that's the last time I need to revise this screenshot...

The counter looks a lot nicer than before, anyway.

What are you thinking about right now?

Why do you even need extra-curricular activities for UCAS aargh. Just to show you're a well-rounded three-dimensional person, I know, but that is kind of your own business and doesn't really indicate how well you'll do at your studies.

Also I can't remember if I put RM in the personal statement.

Not like I LIKE TO MAKE GAMES ABOUT ANIME PEOPLE WITH TURN BASE DBATTLES but just a quick and amateur game design in there somewhere, if I did... can't say I recall it, though.

edit: just seen Yellow Magic's post. Yeah, D of E looked like too much work. No thanks. Not for me.

Good thing, too. Those facesets are nasty.

Looks nice, though! Especially the battlers.

What are you thinking about right now?

2) I am missing a very important piece of paper without which I cannot attest to having done my only extra-curricular activity. Whoops.
For the personal statement? They don't actually make you prove it. I couldn't really see that coming up in an interview...

Eh, I'm sure there's more to it than that.

Not... D of E?

Replacing Screenshots

... oh.

Eh, I guess you could use it to put words in commenters' mouths. Fair enough.

edit: ffffff I keep seeing minor things wrong with my screens and having to replace them. I apologise to whoever's moderating the incoming screenshots! I think I should be done, now... >.>

The Emulation Debate

Also, Blaze just released a Mega Drive in the UK that they sell new, include 15 built in games with, and will actually play old Mega Drive cartridges.
Ack, I was quite interested in this at one point as it was even supposed to play games from any region, so even, er... Genesis games, but apparently it's quite poorly made and doesn't actually work all the time. :( Ultimate Mega Drive Collection for PS3 or 360 is probably still the best bet for anyone after a Megadrive fix.

The 'classic' games market is in a weird place, though. They'll shove however many games in the Ultimate Mega Drive collection for a budget price, and give you SNES games for about a fiver on the virtual console, but then occasionally you get something popular like FF IV/V/VI Advance, or Chrono Trigger DS, where they just shove in a crap new dungeon and/or some remedial touch-screen functionality and charge you full price. :-\ That's hardly going to prevent people just downloading the thing.

I guess enough people will buy them without thinking for them not to have to worry.

Also I own IV and V Advance and CT:DS before I accidentally admit to this in another topic and someone quotes this and I'm banned for hypocrisy. :(
