Whats your favourite Manga/Comic right now?

Hellboy's badass but I prefer the comics/graphic novels to the movie although the movie is good compared to some other comic book movies gone wrong. Never read too much on it since at the time I was more intrested in spawn.
I really want to read Uzumaki sometime, I've heard alot about it and I'm sure I can find it online somewhere just in the middle of Akira, kind of want to finish one manga/ comic at a time so I don't get too mixed up.

You can read Sandman online at www.comicoo.com and Akira's on www.mangareader.net . Most of the time I read my stuff from online since where I'm at all we have is the mainstream comics e.g batman, spiderman, superman you know the usual super hero save the day stuff that I'm a bit bored of ( of course I'll always love x-men though! )
As for manga it dosent exist here... nope...

Anyway, I can't decide wich one I like better, to me each has their own style and goods and bads:

Manga most of the time is very epic with large volumes, intense fighting scenes and is also most time more "cute" or characterized not exactly realistic however some manga comes very close in terms of realism.
Comics ( American ) Are more classical in terms of art, they usually have amazing color, inking and literature like in sandman, however they are ususally shorter e.g 25 pages per comic and also very wordy, like you get alot of monologues, naration e.t.c while like in Akira their is virtually no naration at all, its all live action happening right now each panel.

I think I slightly lean more to manga though but not exactly enough to say I dislike comics, they where my first love so I cant abandon them just like that. I've red a few European comics but mostly I dont get the language e.g if its in French, Spanish or German so I can't realy comment on that but their cool too.

Super Chibi Sprites- Whats the risk?

Note: This image is just an example found on http://www.spriters-resource.com/other_systems/puyopuyosun64/sheet/36264

Summary:
The following is regarding RPG MAKER XP SPRITE LIMITS:

I was wondering if it's possible to make my sprites this size, chibi style instead of the usual small sprites, So my question is:
whats the biggest sprite possible ( in terms of dimensions ) on X.P, so far I think its 512, 512 correct me if I'm wrong or is their no limit like in the tile-set length?

And my second question is:
If I am to resize everything in proportion to my new default sprite size, ( tile-sets mostly ) will the game lag due to large resources or is it fine as long as I keep the mapping down a bit. Also whats the limit if it lags or not e.g can I make a proportional manga character into a large sprite with a super huge tileset or would that just make rpg maker crash down or something?

Thanks I appreciate your advice. ^_^

Whats your favourite Manga/Comic right now?

So far I'm on chapter3 of my new all time favorite manga Akira. Although the last books where around 300 pages plus I never noticed the time fly. It would take up way too much space to sum up everything so you can just read all about its epicness at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akira_(manga)

Then when it comes to comics I'll say my favourite might always be The Sandman

Summary:
The Sandman's main character is Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, who is essentially the anthropomorphic personification of dreams. At the start of the series, Morpheus is captured by an occult ritual and held prisoner for 70 years. Morpheus escapes in the modern day and, after avenging himself upon his captors, sets about rebuilding his kingdom, which has fallen into disrepair in his absence.
In its beginnings, the series is a very dark horror comic. Later, the series evolves into an elaborate fantasy series, incorporating elements of classical and contemporary mythology, ultimately placing its protagonist in the role of a tragic hero.

I know this comics/manga's are "old" but they might always be my favourites. I'm also a huge fan of sci-fi and its oposite fantasy as well as horror comics so these realy hit the nail.

So what do you guys enjoy the most when it comes to graphic novels. Also in your opinion what do you think is better, American comics or Japanese manga?

Best RPG Music of all time

To avoid repetative youtube posts I'll just mention mine

Chronos Trigger OST ( Coridors of Time and At The End of Time )

Earthbound ( Tessie! and You've Come Far, Ness ).

Those are just a few, I like the entire Earthbound OST and most of Chrono's Triggers cool but some are a bit too castle/carnival themed for me.

A Day in the Life: Let's Play The Sims 3

lol I agree.
I had this game but my computer isn't mean't for gaming ( the graphics where not supported unless I upgraded my graphics card, couldn't be bothered ) so I gave it away... Oh well, looks fun as hell...

RPGs Through the Generations

Havent been around much ( alive ) so I cant say I really lived in the NES era.

Gameboy:
Some awsome rpgs on the gameboy series ( Color, Advanced and SP ). My favourites being Golden Sun, Harvest Moon and of course Pokemon.

SNES Emulation:
Was still a toddler when this was released e.t.c but I play alot of SNES games on P.C and PSP. My favorites being Chrono's Trigger and Earthbound as well as many others. Never really finished Final Fantasy I found it kind of corny but I'm certain the SNES and Game-boy era had some classics for sure.

PS2: I really wanted to get some rpg's for ps2 but un-fortunetly only got free roamers like G.T.A.

Xbox 360, PS3 and New school Nintendo ( DS and Wii ): This has to be the most interesting and at the same time disapointing year for rpg's with games as incredible as Mass Effect and Final Fantasy which seemed ( in other peoples opinions ) a let down for the series. Either-way games are more and more inovative but alas I cant afford the hype so I'm stuck with my ps2 and psp/pc emulations

My list through the generations:

SNES: Chrono's Trigger, Earthbound, Illusions of Gaia, Final Fantasy VII, Star Ocean, The Legend of Zelda: A link to the past, Mother 3.

GameBoy: Fire Emblem, Lufia, Golden Sun, Harvest Moon, Pokemon.

PSP: Star Ocean: Second Evolution, Monster Hunter ( Freedom 2, 2G, Unite ), Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker has some rpg elements

The rest I wont call real role playing games. I know I'm a total newbie and still have a ton of rpg games to play but each is usually so imersive... I actually really got into rpg games when I got rpg maker 2003 back in 2005 since.

Lowering your standards and finishing your game

"There's tons of features it has that I never expected it would have and it has them already, like an entire scripting language I invented."

Impressive ^_^

hehe looks like you r having fun with it...

Pictures In Rmk and on this site

Sorry I dont see a script request section, maybe I should have made another topic but felt lazy too.

Hmmm.... guess I'm on my own once again.

How long should a game take to make?

Good idea Craze, I have a personal note book where I write anything concerned with my current project. Also its never good to rush something, the result will always be poor.
I guess its good to know when to call it a day though, you don't want to spend all day and night on rpg maker, that would lead to a serious burn out, might make the best game ever but die of exhaustion.

Are you happy with how your life has turned out?

@ Nightblade and anyone concerned:
Life is funny, the richest people in the world who have everything they can ever desire are the most depressed. For example Hollywood stars, Famous musicians, Rich kids e.t.c. Like system of a down once said, you should have never trusted Hollywood.
Then we always feel like someday, sometime it will be alright, like we'll get everything we desire as well only that when you have everything you could possibly want its almost as if nothings left...

I used to read alot of books on spirituality, some helped alot. I sometimes get moments where I feel like I have no problems, you know like actualy living life and not so much worried about my situation. Although moments like that come and go its what I live for otherwise lifes meaningless. Don't know if you know what I'm saying.
It would be a waste of time always caught up with your situation, always chasing the future or running from the past. I don't think its wise to wait to go to heaven or committing suicide because you feel it would solve your problems when you'll probably die and end up in another life or worse as nothing at all who knows for sure.

If you want to be happy with life you need to live as in really be alive and be as you are.
Although you can be depressed, angry or whatever you'll see that you can at least resonate in a moment of love free from time and problems.
When you accept your situation you can always find a more logical way of solving your problem or issues. You also see that its not that big of a problem after all. Its your worried mind that makes it seem huge and overwhelming.
