New plan. Call for 2nd beta tester!
Summons, Then and Now + An Update!
Nicely done - the choices, old and new, seem well thought out, and you've choreographed the animations well.
I would point out that the FF5 graphics had a blue version of Carbuncle, in pretty much the same resolution as the FF6 graphics - and, frankly, Carbuncle seems to work better for me as ice than Starlet does.
Excellent use of Palidor. Best FF6 summon returns, even if not the same way. Much thanks.
Also, personal thanks for your decision regarding the Cerberus/Zoneseek shift. It always irks me when people conflate shadow and darkness - a shadow is a protected region, where something else is taking the brunt of the blow. Your use of Zoneseek as a buff wellspring plays with this idea, and it's something I enjoy seeing, but that people rarely do.
Oh, and while I'm at it - nice Battle BGM in the new sequence battles!

Hey Buddy, Whip It Out. Let's Compare Swords.
if you were a final fantasy character, who would you be and why?
Onionkid.
Why? Started as, essentially, nothing. But carries a great deal of untapped potential within.

Favorite MegaMan game
Megaman 3 fer the Pea Sea is th'best one, ayep.
Sees the lurid glow of a thousand flamethrower pilot lights coming online
Kidding! KIDDING!
Actual favorite was probably MM3/NES, on the grounds that I enjoy messing around with mechanics, and there was an open secret about using the second controller for some interesting stunts there. High-jumping out of a bottomless pit - after losing all HP on the meter - and continuing on to beat the stage boss has to qualify as my own favorite moment from that.

Which version are you running?
According to the 'About' information, I'm running 1.06, Advocate's translation. I'm not seeing the behavior you described in test battle mode or when the battle is triggered from an event on the map. (Haven't tried random battles yet.) However, I once had a different version (can't recall which) installed on a different computer alongside this one, and I know there were differences between the two. I had a monster with an action pattern that was supposed to put stronger and stronger barriers on it, depending on how deep the level already present was. On one of the two, it worked perfectly. On the other, it blew up the instant the monster tried to put the second barrier up.
It's possible that, as with my problem above, you're getting a glitch that only occurs in a specific translation.
