LAW is looking for a few testers!
What kind of time constraints do you have set on this?
I've done some testing before for others, and I would be interested in trying - but at the same time, I have other constraints on my time, and have to carve out the time to do a testing run. I would be interested in testing, and would offer my best efforts within these constraints. If this is permitted, I would like to request that I be considered as one of your testers. However, if you have some planned time to release, I must request that you count me out; I cannot honestly say I would be even close to finished under those circumstances.

WinXP - Problem with music in rm2k(3) - known problem?
It turned out to be Volume Control.
Nothing had 'mute' checked, but as Adon237 indicated, SW Synthesis was down at the bottom of the slider. Shifted it to the top, went back in, and managed to get the sound working again. Although I'm now confused as to why it didn't affect RMXP as well.
Thank you all for your gracious assistance.

WinXP - Problem with music in rm2k(3) - known problem?
I'm working on a WinXP machine, and I'm having trouble with the music in RM2k and 2k3 games. I can hear sound effects fine, but not the music. This appears to be the case both when playing the games, and when attempting to play the music in the editor. I do not have this problem with my copy of RMXP - I can hear sound in the engine and when playing games.
I'm asking first, I guess, if this is a known issue. Second, if it is, what's the cause, and what's the most reliable solution?

did not get the sarcasm?
Did not get the sarcasm. Under the circumstances, I felt the individuals in question were far enough out there on the 'false belief' scale that the concept of the exact hour being declared was, in fact, completely within their realm of possibility.
4 hour game
XP - Attacks/skills targeting sp instead of hp - how to do?
Basically, please see title. I'm working out some of the steps for my battle structure, and this is one of the points I'm unsure of how to handle. I'd thought I'd seen a post on the topic on HBGames at one point recently, but I can't find it now.
To reiterate: How would I set it up (what scripts would I need to modify, or add) so that I can mark skills and weapons that remove the target's MP/SP instead of the target's HP?

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
The exact hour of judgement is known!
According to the cult leader, the rapture will occur at 6:00 P.M., LOCAL TIME. This means that God will start in New Zealand, rapturing one time zone at a time!
It is unknown what will happen if you are travelling eastward at 5:45 and pass into the next time zone, suddenly changing to 6:45. You may forever lose your chance to be raptured. On the other hand, determined min-maxers could potentially spend the day taking airplane flights westward, getting raptured as many as 24 different times.
A) The catching up (the event now commonly called 'the rapture' is indicated by the scriptures to be a singular event - it'll happen only once for all those who will be affected. There's no 'rolling rapture' option.
B) The event in question will also remove those affected from the earth as it now exists.* Even if the 'rolling rapture' option were real, no one individual could get caught up in it more than once.
*Even when removed, we'll be back. It'll just be to a refined version of the world, without any of the bad stuff. The physical side of Heaven's not the 'clouds and harps' option of so many comic strips; it's the earth as it should have been before humankind blew it.

Looking for some dungeon puzzle ideas...
1) What is your theme to the library? Is it a modern-style 'library', with actual librarians holding checkout mechanisms? Is it a 'library of the ancients', with ponderous tomes of hidden and forbidden lore? Is it, perhaps, a museum, as many ancient 'libraries' actually were?
2) What is the purpose of the library? Is it a waypoint (must pass through to advance), a repository (must obtain item to advance), or a side area?
Worst case scenario, toss 'em a cartload of books, and have them sort the whole thing by Dewey order for the librarian to hand them their next clue.
