rpgmaker.net 4th birthday contest
Contest sounds interesting. I'll consider giving it a go, contingent on topic and rules.
Shirt idea sounds interesting. Any suggestions as to where to get heat transfer paper from?

Looks like the world will end on Saturday, May 21st
Can't we wait until 2012 before that happens, then? I've got a post I need to make on another forum then.
Current minigames in Blackmoon Prophecy
Minor quibble - could you modify the AI walk patterns in the auction house? The scholar was walking underneath the guy next to him, and it looked somewhat strange.

... well crap I've been wrong forever then! How did I never notice that?
Because common culture refers to it in the plural, probably. I would presume that started because multiple things are being revealed - ignoring the fact that the multiple things are part of a single instance of revelation.

As a christian, I would like to point out that this method of date-setting, as with any other, counts as at least minor blasphemy. We are told in the scriptures(Matthew 24), in the words of Jesus Christ, that no one but God the Father knows the date of the return of His Son. From this perspective, ANY attempt to declare 'it shall be thus-and-such date' is, by definition, an attempt to call God a liar.
@Deckiller: It's neither. 144,000 is the number specifically given for Jewish believers, defined as 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes. These aren't necessarily the only Jewish believers; they're a specific group identified, from what I understand, as serving a specific purpose. 200 Million is the number used for what appear to be demonic horsemen as appearing in chapter 9 of the Revelation. (Aside to Natook - nitpicking, but it's singular, not plural.) The actual number of believers, if I recall correctly, is too numerous for John to count. Considering he managed to number 200,000,000 demonic horsemen, that strikes me as a good sign for the population of heaven.

Anyone know of a good wagon chipset for 2k3?
That looks to be exactly what I was after, Rowan. Thanks.
Is that your own work? And if not, would you happen to know whose work it is? I'd like to make sure I get it credited correctly.

@LockeZ:
Something between a prairie schooner covered wagon and a conestoga.
@Cosmic_Sea:
I already know about Charas. They don't have anything on the term 'wagon', which I believe is the most basic term for what I'm after.

I'm working with an idea, and to pull it off, it would be useful if I could find chips to create a side-viewed wagon inside a map. I'm working with the First Seed chipsets; anything wagon-ish would be appreciated, but something that works with FSM materials would be doubly so. Thanks.
What kind of bosses do YOU like?
Form changers are okay, but I'd prefer a bit more than 'Normal Mode/Defend and Crush Mode' from one. Beyond Whelk, I can only think of two more 'form changer' bosses - Mist Dragon and Wingraptor, Whelk's counterparts from FFIV and FFV. I'd prefer something with at least three modes, none of which is really a 'base' mode - instead, each has a specific purpose in the battle.
Countdown bosses are annoying. A weaker version of what you've described (massive damage, not ohko) is reasonable in some cases, but the kind you've described need to be held to the side as bonus bosses.
I don't recall having ever run into an evolving boss before. The idea sounds a bit interesting, but I can't speak for it either way.
Draining boss: First, OUCH. Second, that's not really a 'drain', it's a heavy-duty poisoning...unless the boss gets the HP taken from the characters.
The kind of boss I'd like to face, and the kind I'd like to learn to properly make, is the Intelligent/Reactive boss. (I'm not sure that title makes much sense...sorry.) The idea here is that the boss would have, instead of a single AI pattern, multiple AI subroutines that could be turned on or off right as the battle began. This kind of boss could seem to react to the characters as a result. Example: If the heroes have at least three pieces of Fire Resist equipment, turn off the 'Use fire skills' routine, but turn on the 'Acid Rain/Outlyer' routine - the heroes won't have to deal with the actual fire effects, but will have to deal with skills that can inflict the burn status, without the fire element weakening them. I think this is similar to your evolving boss, but the routine set would be determined for a longer period of time - this kind of boss would, in my opinion, work best with a character who could spy on the party as they traversed the dungeon.
