Oh well, better luck in the next area! I never did expect everyone to obtain EVERY (or very few, if any) reward for clearing the monsters from a particular location.
Fun fact: Desertopa and I were convinced there wouldn't be many people AT ALL who wanted to obtain the special treasures or fight the optional bosses. Guess we were wrong, huh? Seems to be what everyone who comments seems to be doing! Bahahaha

If you open the game in the editor abd test play you can check. I think if you hit F9 you'll open a window that'll allow you to see what variables and switches are activated/off. There's a "TOWER NONSTERS" variable that should be at 59.

Then perhaps you DID miss a monster?! Sometimes, if you're particularly unlucky, one of them wanders into the hidden paths. If you have the latest version, the treasure should appear if you've defeated all the monsters =O

That pathway was actually supposed to be the original shortcut out of the mines (the rock disappears after you beat the boss), but once I decided to include the Quick-Travel Spheres, it was made kind of redundant. Oh well. =P

Oh, no, you'll have to
KEEP going straight across from the statue to the eastmost part of the room (outside that little room). If you examine THAT wall it'll prompt you to break it down with the pickaxe you found.

Okay, so the first place you need to go is to the second floor of the Main Castle. Which one's the main? Straight ahead of the area's starting Save Point. Go up the right set of stairs and then into the door at the top right of the second floor. There should be a gargoyle in this room with a sparkling base. Examine that, then head into the door just up from the statue. You should be able to piece things together form here ;)

How'd I manage to miss something like that?! Dang. I'll have to upload an emergency patch/new version so that potential future players also don't stumble upon a similar situation! That's the one area I never expected anyone to return to, so I guess I overlooked the possibility of the events not disappearing properly or at all.

I'm guessing this is in the final dungeon? Also, is the walking speed that much slower? Perhaps something got screwed up due to how I made your new save file? Have you collected any of the "Orb of Guidance" items? If not, that's where you have to start in order to make progress!

You can be certain that when I woke up this morning to find I'd received my first review and it was this positive that it wasn't long before my excitement replaced the need for any caffeine!
