I've been messing around with RPG Maker programs since 2005, but haven't released a single game yet. Been reworking on the same old idea I had for years now while getting distracted by new ones.

[RMVXA] Parameters affecting status ailments?

I apologize if there is already something like this in plain sight, but I couldn't find it or I misread it and thought of it as something else. I tend to make stupid mistakes like that. Anyways, like the title says, I am curious if there is a method or script to make it so that the chances of being inflicted with a status ailment decreases as a certain parameter increases. An example of this that comes to mind is the Vitality Parameter in Ragnarok Online. As you increase your vitality, the likelihood of you being stunned decreases.

What I am trying to accomplish with this idea is to see if a character's Magic Def is high enough, the chances of them being "Poisoned," or "Blinded," lowers, but is never gone.

Yes, that got it to work now. Thank you very much and sorry for asking for help when you were busy. ^.^)b

Ugh, but now the ATK Parameter is bugged. It doesn't reach the maximum amount and the bar blackens out a bit.

Stat Distribution

Ah, hello again. I have ran into two slight problems. Whenever I change the "<Change_PARAMS: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7>" in the Actor Notes to something like this "<Change_PARAMS: 0 2 3 4 5 6>," I get an error when I try to increases the Param of the last Param stat on the list.
The Error I get is:

The second problem I run into is when I try to increase any other Param other than the last one listed and click the Yes option, I get an error like this:

I feel like both of these problems are connected because of the changes within the carrots. Also, I haven't messed with the script itself other than the text with the parantheses for the Param Names and Param Help Test. Sorry if I am causing unnecessary trouble, was just experimenting with what the script can do.

Stat Distribution

I am not very script savvy, so, I am wondering if there is a way to make it so the party or an individual can receive "Param Points" without needing to level up? I know I need to use the Script Call from the events, but not the coding.

What are you thinking about right now?

Playing MMORPGs and being even more depressed have mostly wrecked my working process on any RM games I have been working on/restoring... Damn you, League of Legends and Aion...

NicoB's Let's Tries/Plays! *REQUEST YOUR GAME HERE!*

Oh, they are now working for some reason, but yeah, the videos would looked like they were finished loading and buffering to just be a black screen with no sound. Don't know what was different this time, but glad to see they are working now. Sorry for screaming fire when it was probably just a temporarily youtube thing or something on my end. XD

I am not sure if it is just me or not, but I couldn't get those videos to play at all. I tested out some of your other videos and random youtube videos and they played just fine.

An Official *English* Version of 2k3 Approaches!

I know the program is old, and illegal to use at the moment, but if they're gonna charge $20 to be able to legally use it, I think they should at least tweak with it a little bit. By that, I mean to have the option whether the the creator wants to use either ATB or Turn-based battle systems. I prefer if they got rid of the ATB altogether and made it a side-view turn-base system, but hey, that's just me. Actually, the ATB in RM2k3 is the reason I use/attempt to use all the other programs than RM2k3.

Of course this is just wishful thinking on my part that they would implement the option to go TB in RM2k3 and I'll sign the petition even though I'll never use RPG Maker 2003 because I am sure they are plenty of people who would like to use this program legally.

Requesting Help with converting MP3 > OGG for game [2k3]

If you have Audacity along with the LAME add-on to be able to export your MP3's as MP3's, just open the song(s) you are planning on using with Audacity and change the 44100Hz to 88200Hz. This will drastically increase the tempo of the entire song, but this can be fixed when you set the Tempo rate inside the RPG Maker 2k3 to 50%. The song will sound like nothing has happened to it and it cuts down on the filesize, but you have to make sure to set the Tempo within the RPG Maker 2k3 to 50%. I know I repeated myself.

I use this method myself and it works.

Forbid Event Overlap for VX/VX Ace?

Merci beaucoup, Kentona. I feel quite silly now because I somehow missed this while I was browsing through the scripts. I'll make sure to do a third check through next time. Bonne journée!
