@thesacredlobo - This was my first game, so I wasn't very good at programming things, but to unlock the recipe once you buy it from a shop, you have to go into your inventory and USE the recipe to learn it.
Eternal Twilight Review
Thank you for putting the time to write up this beefy review! I truly appreciate you for doing this. There's a lot of great feedback in here for me when (or if) I get around to making another game that I'll be able to put to use.
I'm sad to see that low-end spec computers are having trouble running the game though. I know it's from a handful of different plugins running in the background and some of the map effects/lighting going on.
Glad you finished the game and even got through all the optional stuff too!
Thank you for playing! :)

@t28nguye - Wow, you've bought an Infinity Necklace for everybody!? You must've already farmed the hell out of the bonus bosses hahaha... as for increasing the amount of Seraphic Keys the bosses drop, I'm going to leave it how it is, because the bosses already drop more keys depending on the Class they're in. Class A drops 3, whereas Class C only drops 1, for example.
As for the thing with Minerva, unfortunately, that's not something I know how to easily fix, since you need an absurd amount of MP COST REDUCTION to start running into HP problems with her. If you want her to have more Agility than Damien, I suppose you could always try adding a few AGILITY augments/glyphs to her gear to make her faster than him?

Eternal Twilight v1.1.2 is LIVE!
@kenlan - Actually, way back before the final release of the game, the 3 difficulties were "Easy, Normal, Hard" but I renamed them to "Normal, Hard, Hell" because a lot of people chose NORMAL difficulty and still complained that it was too hard. So, by changing the names (making EASY -> NORMAL), most people started choosing NORMAL (which was now actually EASY mode) and things got better haha.

@aquatorrent - You're almost to the final boss, you totally got this! From what you wrote, I am pretty sure I know which boss you're fighting. Guarding until her 2nd shield wears off isn't the appropriate approach.
Breaking through her 1st shield before the countdown is a test to see if you can deal enough damage to her. Since you are able to get through that phase of the boss, that means you can definitely defeat her. There's nothing really unique about this fight in terms of mechanics.
Once her 2nd shield is up, just keep attacking her. Her shield is actually decaying on it's own by about 10% at the end of every turn, so the more damage you deal to her, the faster her 2nd shield breaks.
Once you've broken her 2nd shield she takes a ton more damage from all your attacks and you'll be able to take off the rest of her HP fairly quickly.
This fight is all about speed. If you take too long to kill her, her damage ramps up too high and she will win, so just keep whacking away at her!

@t28nguye - That's an unfortunate "side-effect" of having too much MP COST REDUCTION on Minerva. She will eventually need more HP than she actually has and won't be able to cast any spells lol. Another thing you could try is slapping some LEECHING glyphs/accessories to her so that she can heal her own HP as she deals damage. I would just swap one of those Infinity Necklaces off of her and it should keep her below that weird threshold. Luna does very well with an Infinity Necklace if you need an alternative party member to use it! :)
@aquatorrent - The boss you're on can be very tricky to understand at first. Here is the guide in a nutshell:
@aquatorrent - The boss you're on can be very tricky to understand at first. Here is the guide in a nutshell:
If you drop any of his minion's HP to 0, he will do the ultimate that wipes out your party. The trick to this boss is to only hit his minions when they have the BLUE aura with SINGLE-HIT attacks so that you get the PHASED buff, which allows you to damage the boss for a few turns.
Avoid multi-target abilities AT ALL COSTS, or you will most likely kill a minion and the boss will nuke you. No raining arrows, ultima (unfortunately Minerva takes a big hit in her damage potential for this boss), etc.

Thanks for chiming in with your tips Bugfragged, those are very helpful! I would highly suggest utilizing Soul Trigger more!
Best of luck in taking out those super bosses, I know they're not easy!

@aquatorrent - Without seeing you actually play, my suggestion to you would be to make sure that you are using your defensive cooldowns properly. I often see people use things like VITALITY and PROTECTION at the same time, which is great for 3 turns of super high HP and DEFENSE, but then you're left with nothing for a few turns where your team becomes more vulnerable.
I would alternate using them and then cast another once the previous one wears off. For example, popping DIVINE AEGIS and throwing huge overshields on your whole party will help you survive some big hits. Once DIVINE AEGIS wears off, maybe use VITALITY, and then when that one wears off, go to PROTECTION, etc.
SOUL TRIGGER can be used both offensively and defensively, so use that one as you see fit. The Echo Succubus boss can be very hard because as you get stacks of LINGERING SMOKE, you start to take more and more damage.
What percentage of health would you say the boss is at around turn 10?

Small description: Eternal Twilight features a complex battle system, heavily derived from my experience as a hard-core MMO raider. My sole purpose for creating the game was to test what I could do with the battle system with a goal of creating something that was challenging, complex, but very rewarding once mastered.
Special requests: Do not play/review the game if you're seeking something simple. Thank you :)
