GALV'S PROFILE

I love RPG's. If an RPG was released in Australia, chances are I have played it. (Unfortunately that means I missed out on lots of good titles that were never released in Aus...)

I'm a web designer/developer and have enjoyed making Pirate Rush in RPGMaker VX Ace in my spare time. I like to make others happy and I'm hoping that the games I create will bring happiness and enjoyment to others.

The edit looks great. And the battle maps looks great.

I can't read the word above the portrait too well - is that the name and will it be there for every actor? If so, will they be in the way of the battle action?

They Come

I had to copy the graphics and audio from the RTP into the game folders... it didn't want to see it for some reason.

Some quick bug reports:
- outside of the inn, there's a tree with a bit missing below it and to the left.
- when I try to go south of this area, I can't and no message as to why
- couple of walls I can walk on top of (instead of behind) in the inn

Some thoughts on what I have played so far:
- Great spooky atmosphere
- Those monsters are scary. I got pinning when trying to enter a locked house and he was waiting patiently behind me for the message box to close before eating me... hehe
- Nice puzzles.
- I really like this so far. Very awesome especially for only 10 days work!

Story of Shen


Had a quick go of this game. Some of my thoughts below as I play:
- The sword has a long range.
- Mapping: Most of the trees were above the character, even when the character was in front of the tree.
- The constant having to stop for breath is a bit annoying.
- I feel like a crazyman swinging my sword everywhere when I just want to see if it's something I can look in... haha.
- The bandit-guy I fought in the very first area said it was a slime near it's health bar.
- Damn Mog for making that loading/saving screen script! haha

I didn't get any lag that others mention, but a pixel-movement script would improve the responsiveness of the combat significantly.
Still, it was pretty fun and I like your forest mapping. Even after all that - good job, keep it up :)

I agree with the leaf shadow thing. Looks a bit odd.
My thoughts:
There are a lot of trees at the top and bottom. The bottom would be fine assuming your battle menu will be down there, but that leaves the top as 50% trees and 50% battle action.
Other than that, though, Hanzo's stuff looks great and for a generic battle battleback, it looks nice :)
