Here is my current version of my "multiending" additions to the Builtin storylines.

I really would appreciate any kind of comment on these. And I really liked to have some "external" beta testing ...

To make reaching the starting points of the storylines a little easier I created a "cheatbot":

You'll need a tachie for the profile ... I just used flowerthief's "generic girl #21" (her "neutral" mode to be precice).

Those of you missing the 4-girl-ending: you can fetch it here - I no longer consider it part of my "multiending" storylines.

Please, do tell me what you think these sidestories.

When I played Emiko recently I think I met her on a Wendesay in Market Street. But then - I loose track of weekdays far too easily to be certain of that.

At the worst you have a conflict between two possible stories (plus any events of any other girl that might have send you there).

As for the DAY 100 OR DAY 150 ... I still think it is plain wrong, since DAY 100 does include any day AFTER that anyway (according to Mr. Help File).

It should be something like (DAY 100 AND NOT DAY 101) OR DAY 150. (hmm - I'll writen an easy test-STORY soon, just to be certain ... PRIO High, REPEATABLE yes and a DAY 10 OR DAY 50 condition should be tale-telling). And yes - I think there is no way to check for 151-mode ...

That aside: the end is hard-to-hit anyways ... the PHONE STORY sending <player> to the club could fire anywhere between after - say - day 60. And there is no indication that "Come to the club and rescue me" is about the very last day of the game. Plus: the DAY 100 STORY is not even PRIO High ... so you might miss your one chance to guess the right DAY no matter what you do.

A DAY 80orsomething / PRIO High in the PHONE STORY followed by a PRIO HIGH in the Club STORY (without a DAY check) would have worked better - in my humble opinion.

Don't get me wrong: I really enjoyed this route, too ...

Two questions on CONDITIONSs I found in "Emiko" and "Maeda"

First there is this one all over Emiko's route:
CONDITION = NOT WEDNESDAY OR NOT THURSDAY

According to some comments in that file, the intention seems to be that these STORYs should not used on a WEDNESDAY nor on a THURSDAY.

If CONDITION works like in any other programming language I know, this would not work as intended. On a wednesday the "NOT THURSDAY" would evaluate true, and thus the OR would yeild true nonetheless. Same with a thursday.

Does anybody know, if "CONDITION" is implemented in a way to work more like in natural speach or is my reasoning correct?

The other question is about the following found in Maeda's route:
CONDITION = DAY 100 OR DAY 150

As I read Mr. Help File, DAY (number) means "on the given day or any day after that".
So, basically, the "DAY 150" part should be pointless because the 150th day is after the 100th.

Main post updated with undocumented locations. However, as a reference...

--> Mr. Help File has, regrettably, forgotten to mention certain locations! They are as follows:
Beach (sunset), Grounds (sunset), Roof (sunset).
Note that these locations must be specified via a PLACE command. To the best of my (ie: Marrend's) knowledge, they cannot be obtained via the generic "School" or "City" code.


There is a post here in this thread (, where Flowerthief talked about his (then) latest update breaking Junko ... he mentioned "Bedroom (Night)" and "Bedroom (Morning)" (with "Bedroom (Night)" just beeing an alias for "Bedroom").

And there are at least two more undocumented locations in Junko "Downtown" and "Studio Room" which are used to simulate a normal ENDING in a CUSTOM ENDING Story.

Yeah, the update sequence for a locker-file is to delete the old file, then re-upload. At least, that's what I've done. If there's a more efficient way to do it, I'm not aware of it.

If you're comfortable doing the updates to the XML, I'm highly tempted to say go for it! Otherwise, the responsibility of the XML would (probably) fall to me. While I do have my own copy of the XML, I would probably want to do double-check what all keywords are in there before I do an upload.

*Edit: I... think I might have misinterpreted what I was reading? Sorry, it's been a long day!

It's OK ... my questions have been answered. The version currently in my locker seems to work OK for me. As far as I am aware, all keywords should be in.

The only point that bothers me a bit, is the "prefix mode" flag for the group with words like LOCK and ID. I don't really know why the original author put it there, but it make stuf like LOCKED and IDMIDDIPLIPPY into keywords ...

One could use this for abreviating ATHLETICS or PERSONALITY (which would work if I replaced them with ATH and PER).

I'll eventually look at it as well. I'm intrigued by the idea of Riho/Shihoko or Shihoko/Tsubasa, but Riho/Tsubasa seems a bit farfetched as a concept (as opposed to more obvious possibilities like Miki/Keika, Akari/Hinami or even Miki/Riho).
Well Riho and Tsubasa don't know each other in the built in stories - that's right. But somehow I tought, they might like each other if they did; and that Riho might profit from knowing Tsubasa ... to some degree Tsubasa might even profit from knowing an out-of-her-shell Riho.

About Miki or Akari plus another girl ... in my view Miki is too "best pal" or "childhood friend" for that to work. And Akari has too much on her hands already ... not losing her trust while drawing someone else into it would be tricky.

By the way ... I noticed that there were some keywords missing in that XML
Stuff like CHANCE or STATE or LOCK / UNLOCK

For one reason even things like BRANCH ...

So I made an update and uploaded it to my locker ... (oops: you can only have one version of a given file in the locker?)

Edit: since you linked to my upload ... shall I restore the original XML?
