The girl in question (Shika) does not have a real story yet, either (or a reserved ID for that matter ;) ). She's meant as an alternative option.

She's no slacker, no delinquent - just a bit too slow to learn everything she's supposed to by just attending school, but she does care and does want to improve.

She needs help in enough fields to be looking for more then one guy to help her study. But I don't really want her to be dumb-as-a-breadcrump either.

For plot reasons she should be looking for a second tutor because that's where Kazuhiko comes into play.

I changed the history epoch she needs help on just a few years/decades back in time (i.e. a period where everybody seemed to be at war with anybody else) ... which makes it much more plausible (in my humble opinion).

Hmm - hey you gave me an idea ... maybe she's recovering from a serious problem - like a long sickness or a personal lost a few month ago?

So a girl not knowing his name or importance right after having learnt of him in school is definitely too much.

I guess I overdid it with her ignorance ...

I vaguely remember that scene from testing/playing Multiending. Though, does it really imply that they are not too far into the year? Certainly not at the tail end of the year, but probably at least not past the halfway point?

Agreed. As I said: Hinami's sign doesn't fit to her claiming to be "almost two years younger" then player. Plus european zodiac signs being not too common in Japan in the first place and other ... specialties ...

A few thoughts on ages ...

Playing Hinami (built-in #7) she claims she's "almost 2 years younger" then Kazuhiko. This somehow implies that Kazuhiko is on the "old" side for a 2nd year high school boy - which would be 17.

It also implies that Hinami is 15 (maybe close to 16).

Does anybody know (or care in the context of this game) when the school year starts in Japan? Or when during the 2nd school year Miki's bet started (I always thought it was at the start of their 2nd year, but I did only play the intro twice and can't recall it for sure)?

Should I concern myself with the Zodiac signs in this context - like Aquarius is younger or older then Leo ... or would any error here pass under artistic licence?
