Best video games you've played this year

I played BioShock and Mass Effect this year and both of those were pretty amazing. Super Smash Brothers Brawl is a lot of fun, even with its lagtastic online play. I'm also enjoying Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII a whole lot. I really can't pick a favorite out of all the games I've played this year.

Who are these new guys? [Contributors & Staff]

I saw Monsieur Abley's green name just before reading this post and I was curious about that.

And I was thinking, "Who does that guy think he is, going around with his green name."

Who's Dan?

Now that I look at him, he's got some freakish proportions.

When I heard about this, my first thought was, "Who cares, I want DQV."
Then my second thought was, "Actually, I do want DQIV, too."
Then my third thought was, "Also, I want DQVI."

So yeah, I'm hoping this is Dragon Quest IV and that we're getting it.

Hacked PSP Sexyness

Yeah, I've been running hacked firmware on my PSP since the very beginning and it's really a great way to expand what is (for me, at least) a system that is otherwise not particularly appealing.

Actually, I finally played through Suikoden I and II by running them on my PSP. It was great. Apparently, playing PSP games off the memory stick makes the loading faster and uses less battery. I've only really tried it with the Japanese version of Crisis Core for four or five hours, so I can't comment on that.

I've been looking for more PSX games I can play on the PSP, though.

What's the hide tag for RMN?

It's "hide" in brackets (and without the quotations marks).

Things that make me happy

Sleeping in on school days (whether it's because my first class was canceled or because I decide to skip it).

Waking up on a cold morning and staying curled in my thick blanket.

Taking a hot shower on a cold morning.

Long breaks from school (much too far and few between). I don't like having to juggle what I'm doing, so long breaks are much appreciated for narrowing what I have to do down to whatever I feel like doing.

Taking a day off work (easily done, since I make my own hours) to play some new video game that I've become totally addicted to. It's nice to give yourself a break once in a while.

Rainy days (when I don't have to go to work). I love the smell of rain. It's easily my favorite smell in the whole world.

Re: diets
I've been trying to cut down on my sodium since I have high blood pressure. It's very difficult, especially when cooking just isn't a viable option.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I believe it's on a Metroid stage. Frigate Orpheon, I think.
Norfair, actually. Totally makes sense. Not, say, the Fire Emblem stage or anything. Oh well. I don't particularly like any of the other songs for that stage, so I guess that remedies that.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

There's also a remix track from Golden Sun (of the battle and last boss themes, if I remember correctly). I haven't checked to see which stage uses it, but I thought that was pretty neat.
