Out the Window Review

Thank you for the kind review! I was unsure if anyone here would get this game, or even like it, so your words of praise are very encouraging! I like to think a lifetime of stupid obsessions has made me a better writer of the same. Again, thanks!

Beneath the Mossy Stone Review

Thank you very much for the review! I originally planned for this to be a bit longer, but I ran up against the deadline pretty hard (I submitted it at the literal last minute). I don't know whether I can add some of your suggestions for extending the game, but others sound reasonable, and some of them were even things I planned on including in the game before I ran out of time.

Again, thanks for your review! I never expected it so soon; pure text games often seem to be at a disadvantage when it comes to getting attention, so I really appreciate you taking the time to review it.

2014 Indie Game Maker Contest

Who else is playing through these? I started Tirawrmisu, which is a pretty charming baking sim, but had a bad tendency to hang, especially when haggling with the customers (at least on my computer). Just downloaded BlackBird; we'll see what I think of that game.

2014 Indie Game Maker Contest

Thank you! I just finished the profile for Beneath the Mossy Stone, so hopefully that'll be approved soon.

2014 Indie Game Maker Contest

Would it be possible to edit my entry into this contest? It's okay if you can't, I just hate missing out on that sweet, sweet participation Makerscore.

2014 Indie Game Maker Contest

Ah shit, I missed the deadline by a minute. :/ Here it is anyway:

EDIT: Wait, no, maybe I didn't? At least, I see my game on the site. Either, go ahead and play my game and tell me if you liked it.

You can't copyright ideas. The Princess Maker series is a raising sim (of which there are quite a few) and thus you too may make a Raising Sim as long as you don't copy their everything. (Raise a bunch of kids from x age to x age should be fine).

The second example might be a little too close since you're actually riffing off established characters (who are easy to figure out).

Ah, dang, I guess that nixes one project I had thought up for this. Hm, would a game about an art exhibit currently going on in my town be okay?

2014 Indie Game Maker Contest

I've signed up, even though I don't have a solid game idea yet. Hopefully I'll come up with something soon.

Yo, is it okay to do pastiches of a copyrighted property? Say we wanted to make a game riffing off the Princess Maker series (a la that Project Princess flash game). Would filing off the serial numbers help here? Or what if someone made a parody game starring Nate the Ninja, with his friends Sauce-cake and Soccera? Would this be acceptable?

Tiny Cave Review

Thanks for the review! A couple comments that I have:
"He mentions it will be a good game for kids due to its simplicity." That should be she. I don't make a big deal about it online, but I am a girl.

Re: That restart bug you ran into: I have no idea what's causing that. It seems to work okay on my end, so it may be trouble with your browser, or possibly the site. I'll try to look into what's casusing it though.
