So... IGMC 2015
author=Liberty
I want to point out that if you look on the Humble Bundle page you can see something... quite interesting. Quite interesting indeed...
I saw it, and then came 'round here to see if anyone else did.
Anyway... So the theme's "Growth", huh? I think I can swing that.
How did your first game turn out?
My first game ever (incomplete) was a terrible remake of a Scott Adams text adventure. At the time I thought it was pretty hot stuff, but looking back, yeah, not so much. The big gimmick was that you could type LISTEN in certain rooms to get hints or even some backstory, but because I was such a novice with Inform, I got stuck on some issue (I think it had something to do with locks and keys?) and never finished it.
My first game (complete) was something I worked on to take a break from the above. It was supposed to be a simple, relatively realistic one-room game about making breakfast. But I couldn't figure out liquids in Inform, or how to make the cooking work, so it just got progressively grosser and zanier (like, you eat a whole bag of bread at one point, wrapper and all), until the whole thing collapsed into a goofy game about a kinda sorta monster. After finishing it, I thought about releasing it in that year's IF Comp, but ultimately decided not to. Honestly I think that I made the right choice, because I think the IF community at the time would not have looked kindly on a game where you eat junk off the floor.
EPILOGUE: I ended up remaking it for a game jam thing, and remade that for a different game jam a year later. You can get it here, in case you care.

so after two nights in a row being unable to work on this, and with Sunday being Mother's Day, the likelyhood of me getting anything out the door in time has dropped to nearly nil.
You could make a simple Escape-the-room game. Just a one room house, some spooky props, and a couple puzzles shouldn't take too long to make.

Edit: Oh god, taking my song down. Always spotting nasty problems later.
What was wrong with it?
tsukurunova_ship.png
author=Ratty524author=Red_NovaBetter questions:
This ship is hardly practical for space travel. Where's the sail? How's the ship supposed to fly through space without a sail to catch the wind?
-How is the ship suppose to move in a landscape that HAS NO WIND?
-That open deck is going to expose a ton of crew members to no gravity, unfiltered radiation, and no oxygen.
If it's good enough for Captain Harlock, it's good enough for your goddamn RM 2003 game.
Summoner of Sounds
author=HappyThis is pretty nice! I'm not a fan of the samples used for the violin, though; I think they sound a little choppy in places, particularly when, um, transitioning between notes, whatever the word for that is. Still, nice work. I could also see it used as music for an intro cutscene, or a bedtime story.
Here's something to comment on: a hero naming theme!
BAHLETED
I might still adjust the volume details slightly, but I'm done for tonight!
Just a short comment about the title: my first thought when I read it was the song by The Who. Be aware of that if you plan to stick with that title.
To Merlandise: I like your theme! It's very peppy and off-kilter. Makes me think of a circus, and I believe it'd be a good fit for a clown villain that's more pathetic than scary.

Fun discovery!
I thought 2k3 elements were multiplicative and designed accordingly
spoilers
they aren't
Oh, no! That sounds... bad? I dunno, I'm not good at math. At least you didn't waste too much time figuring this out, though!

Maybe use this:
author=Shoobinatoras a part of your game description somehow? (It is a pretty unusual/noteworthy feature of the game.)
I am attempting to make a game without using the regular dialogue message window ("Show Message/Text" command), so it's kinda hard to write a full background of what the game is about because discovering that is part of the game.
The official English 2k3 version is out!
